You can put lipstick on a pig, but it's still a pig.

Spence” is 1-14 in the NFL and finished his senior college year at 5-7.
Shough had 7 years of college. What's his records there? All better than 5-7?

I think Shough is a great QB but I don't know if it'll matter if this team can't draft. We will have to wait and see if we get better.

OK, you have just turned me into a huge fan of the Saints starting QB.

This guy's rise to fame has answered a prayer or two.

Are you arguing Spence is better? Hard to keep track of whatever it is you are arguing at this point

For the umpteenth time, I think shough has played better, not much better like this board is making it out to be, and needs to play better if we're ever going to be a relevant playoff team again.

Son of a B... I could not tell you how many time I have gone on their site, referenced them, and simply never clicked on that "Advanced Passing" tab.

Thanks for the link

AI says this:

Key Takeaway
RAS is an excellent tool to gauge a prospect's athletic ceiling and identify potential mismatches, but it must be combined with film study, character evaluation, and coaching context, as it doesn't capture all aspects of football talent.

I'll take the AI response over your bullshite one.

If shough fits it in the deep ball its an all pro throw given the coverage. Best is olave reading the safety playing zone and choosing the comeback

It was the same play against Miami when Olave dropped the game winner.

Same defensive coverage basically - except the corner was playing tight press coverage vs Miami. Which makes it more obvious that Olave is to blame.

Olave wanted the easy comeback route bc the corner was playing off vs the Bucs. But he should have streaked bc the safety wasn’t going to be there to help.

vs Miami he should have done the comeback to get the first down in hindsight.

Olave will never be a true #1 if he can’t make these type of plays for his QB who is 1 step ahead of him.

Agree to disagree.

Some interesting stats here.
Rattler has 174 completions. He is also credited for having 11 passes dropped. but only 183 passes are "On-target"?

On-target throws = would have hit the intended receiver. how were 2 of these passes caught or dropped if it would not have hit the receiver?

He also has 82 incompletions. 3 passes batted away, 8 throw aways, 3 spikes, and the 11 drops. That would be 57 incompletions, of which 27 were "bad throws"

Comparison:
Shough has 120 completions & 9 drops. 133 On target passes. Wonder how they categorize those other 4, some of his 8 batted passes?

Shough has 64 incompletions, 8 bats, 6 throw aways, 1 spike, and 9 drops. Leaves 40 incompletions, of which 28 are "bad throws"

Don't know what to really make of that, just find it interesting when you start piecing together the stats. Especially those 2 "off-target" passes that were caught?

Just think if CO12 hadn't dropped several key deep balls from our Tylor.
