Literally the point of this thread.

Nobody happy over the pick has explained why that's a bad assessment.

When’s the last time you’ve been right about anything ?

Taysom become an all pro qb yet fat arse?

Break down this awesome roster for us that’s held back by injuries . You won’t because you can’t

Yea I’d have to agree with you here

Why would we draft a project QB to be behind a project QB that’s behind a mediocre QB that has an uncertain future

SfP would complain about the Saints selecting Jesus Christ as a WR in the draft because he has holes in his hands

Cause we're dumb and bad at football.

I don’t think drafting Shough would prevent anything next year unless Shough looks legit.

I’m fine drafting a QB in the top 3 rounds every draft until you strike gold.

How is it dumb? Either we pass on a better qb next year because we took this dude or we draft a better qb and throw this dude away.

I mean, he could end up being good too.

It’s dumb to assume any QB next year will be better. Carson Beck was 2025 QB1 this time last year.

The Falcons and Bucs have improved their teams.

I don't know about Carolina but even at this point I'd take their picks over ours.

I really didn't mind the Banks pick, but this one was such an egregious reach!

I hope like hell he is, but I’m a numbers guy.

What are the odds that he’s solid enough in year one to make us pass on Nuss, Allar, or possibly Manning?

Then you are fine with finding one less starter every single year.

I'm not even a big Nuss guy but who wants to argue Shough was better than Nuss last year?

There’s 12.8% hit rate on day 2 quarterbacks.

Shough has done nothing on the field to suggest he’s even a day 3 quarterback.

How can anyone justify a multi-year learning curve for a top-40 QB who will be 26 when the season starts?

I mean, obviously it would be justified if by year 3 he’s looking like a legitimate to 10 QB.

It means Carr is

Where is the logic in this pick unless he AND our team is ready to compete for playoffs in 2025?

Your base is off. You dismiss him because of age the new HC does not. Are you more likely to be right or KM?

Carr seems done. I don't know how but he seems done. He maybe the starter next year but I assume he is the backup at some point during the year.

Not entirely. He may be a top-half QB next year and justify the pick.

I'm not dismissing that.

I'm arguing if he's not that, next year, this was a bad pick, due to his age.

Who gives a shite? Literally irrelevant.

What constitutes a hit? And how does that connect to say, Drew Allar?
