-Porter's first game was against the Cowboys and he played about half the snaps
-Fujita sucks regardless, him coming back will have little bearing on the defense
-Greer was back half of the Panthers game when we rested all out starters
-Shockey hasn't played in any
-Ellis hasn't played
-Sharper and Vilma have been banged up

the fact is and the league knows this ..... Saints cant stop the Run ! The Saints have to respect the WR's for Arizona so that will leave the middle of the field to run on

not only that but what do you say when players have the ENTIRE offseason to be rusty, then we start the season 13-0.

Why was the OP's other thread whacked but this one is still here? This thread is no less douchey than the other one.

If the Cards were a good running team, this would worry me.

The fact of the matter is that this will be a shoot-out. I will take our offense (who will be about 100% healthy) against any other offense in the league. Our Defense is as good (probably better) as Zona's D.

There is a reason we started as a 7 pt favorite. If you were @ the playoff game in '06, you know how crazy it will be in the Dome on Sat.

Yes that is right but the numbers speak for themselves and you cant ignore that

so you'd ignore the rest of the season, particularly the games where our top players were healthy?

Prior to last week, the Cardinals had a grand total of ONE win vs. teams in the playoffs.

Their strength is their passing game. They can't defend the pass.

The Saints' strength is passing the ball on offense and DEFENDING THE PASS on defense. This is why this is a good matchup for the Saints.

The league does not "know" this. All the league knows is that with our top CBs out, we have been susceptible to the run. When we had our CBs in and were able to stack more men in the box, we stopped the run fine (see Jets and Giants games). Also, the Cards don't even run the ball so no worries there.

the point is the last 5 games which means more to the team right now than early season were played average at best and only one of those teams made the playoffs

First of all, Arizona has only played 2 teams all year that made the playoffs this year. They beat Minnesota and lost to Green bay. So your argument fails right there. In addition, as good as Arizona's offense looked yesterday, they easily could have lost last night. So your argument that the Saints should have lost to Washington or Atlanta fails as well.
