I was just curious and checked out the career rushing yardage for Ricky Williams and Terrel Davis.

Terrel is in the Pro HOF with 7,607 rushing yards and 60 TD’s

Ricky Williams has 10,009 yards with 66 TD’s.

Not saying that Ricky deserves to be in the HOF but why is Terrel Davis in the HOF?

TD played half the amount of games that Ricky did. Davis played for only 7 years(4 full seasons) and was:

2 time offensive player of the year
3 time 1st team All Pro
1 season rushing yardage leader
2 season rushing TD leader
2 time Super Bowl champion
1 time Super Bowl MVP
1 time NFL MVP

Did you look at anything besides yardage and TD totals? Like the number of seasons played, the number of games played, or the number of carries? Also, Davis' career was cut short by injury right as he was revving up. In his first 4 seasons (before his injury), he rushed for 1117, 1538, 1750, and 2008 yards respectively. He never played another complete season after he tore his ACL and MCL. He only played another 17 games over 3 years.

Arguably, he may not belong in the HOF, but he is far from the least deserving guy in there and significantly more deserving than Ricky Williams

Ricky Williams - 11 seasons, 147 games, 2431 carries. That breaks down to 4.1 YPC, 68.1 YPG, and .77 TD/G

Terrel Davis - 7 seasons, 78 games,1655 carries. That breaks down to 4.6 YPC, 97.5 YPG (that is third all time behind Jim Brown and Barry Sanders), and .77 TD/G

TD had a 2000 yard season, a super Bowl MVP, 2 OPOTY, and a league MVP

Ricky made the pro bowl once.

Ricky Watters

played 10 years and finished with 10, 643 yards and 78 TD's

467 receptions for 4,248 yards and 13 TD's

he never got the accolades but what a highly productive career he had.

Yep, regardless of yardage stats, Davis had a HOF overall career…
