Serious question: Are we better off trading Ingram for a defensive back?

To replace PJ William?

I know Ingram is a solid nfl Rb but Our offense has been objectively better this year without him. Don’t take the ball out of drew bree’s Hand when you don’t have to! And don’t take away carries from the best all purpose back in the nfl who is a far superior talent. Sling the rock and when you’re not give it to kamara. Forget the run first bs, score 40 ppg, and add TALENT to this defense. Seems like a no brainer.

A good DB is worth a lot more than Ingram

Our offense has been one dimensional without Ingram. Even though we're scoring a team like giants did well to make us struggle early.

It's obvious the passing game can excel, but when it comes to rough and grind I'm not comfortable with Kamara as the guy carrying it 20 times.

There are games we're going to need to slow down, that's where Ingram and this offense will shine. High octane offenses need to be countered with a methodical time consuming run game.

I disagree. kamara has shown the ability to handle the position as a full time starter. Id say it makes zero sense to not have him on the field except for the occasional breather.

Just because he can run between the tackles doesnt mean its a smart long term play. And where do you see us without 41?

Nah, we need a downhill runner in the worst way. Kamara has been godlike but he can't do that all year.

Ingram is one of the best RBS in the league. Top 5. I know that sounds crazy. But look at his numbers. If he was on another team, carrying it 300+ times per season for his career, he might be on his way to the HoF. I don't know that a new db will fix our defense. I do know that having 9, 22 and 41 in the same backfield is money in the bank.

Are you trying to say that the offense will be worse now that Ingram is back? Because that’s what this sounds like.

No, just let the season play out. As long as the secondary remains relatively healthy we'll be competitive with everyone.

He's getting some pretty bananas touch totals.
