Seems Strange that there have been no news on restructures yet.

But I do remember some of the talking heads saying that most of these general restructures are baked into the contracts so the players and agents don't even have to some to the talk ot negotiate anything. Unless it's some sort of pay cut or something.

Latt and Ram loom large.

If we have to go nuclear and restructure Carr, then that gives us options with other guys (like Maye, Mathieu, Hill, etc.)

If Ram is coming back, then we may not have to go nuclear, which means we'll have to address guys like Maye, Mathieu, Hill, etc.

If Ram AND Latte are both coming back, then we have ample maneuverability (for 2024 only, our future is still fricked)

It's happening, it was always happening. I'm not a fan of it but it won't be any more problematic than all the others Mickey has restructured.

Seems like there is always this lull in information right before the final cap number is made public (I don't believe the league doesn't already know the number). Then there is a litany of info about the auto triggers you referred to right before FA period opens (March 5th this year?), and then we'll hear about the other restructures when Saints start unofficially signing players and everyone is asking why because we're still 8 figures over the cap.

Just to us who don't want to pay him over the next 3-5 years!

I hate to say it but RAM probably needs to go and take the hit now. If he's going to miss 8 or 9 games, I'd rather Young at RT. He seemed athletic, tough but a little light in the pants.

If he could put on 15 lbs of muscle on his 6'7 frame, he could be a long solution at RT.

It's keep the draft picks time. We need a youth infusion and let the old contracts expire.

The retirement talk around Ramczyk has quieted down. He’ll be back.

You can almost bet the house that they will package some of those 5th rounders to move up.

Yea, at the moment they have no 3rd or 4th round pick. That will not be the case come draft time.

There is still a lot of smoke around the Lattimore trade. Honestly I'd hate to see him go but it makes a lot of sense to move him as he is probably the only veteran with value on the trade market and a contract that is somewhat tradable. I could see a late 1st for him coming back from a contender looking for a lockdown corner to get them over the hump.

But again you'd be taking a risk because that would mean Taylor would move back outside, (Which I he could do much better than he did in the middle though he's not going to replace lattimore production there) and likely draft a young guy that fits the middle better or go out and sign a journeymen nickel to and look for someone to develop.
