Does anyone want to have a discussion about Sean Payton’s playoff record? As good as he is in the regular season, he is just as bad during the playoffs.

The Saints are a mediocre to below average playoff team.

I'm not sure you can say someone is bad when he coached the NFL's joke of a franchise to a Super Bowl win.

Beginning in 2009, the Saints have had double digit regular season wins 8 times. They have only made the Super Bowl 1 time. I would say that is bad.

Which active coaches n the NFL have great playoff records, other than Belichick?

Let me answer for you. There are none.

Winning in the postseason is an incredibly difficult thing to do.

The fact that they have no lost 3 out of their last 4 home playoff games to lower seeded teams is all you need to know.

Some field advantage has always been a myth.

He's 9-8 prick. What's your point? If you count the bull crap LA game a few years back, he would be 10-7 or 11-7. STFU. Go root for another team. You assholes make me sick.

This is a pathetic take.

Not bad. But pretty disappointing. There was potential for one of the great qb-coach duos in the league’s history but it just never manifested. The Saints have flat out sucked when it came time to play money ball

Yoh would be completely wrong. I grew up listening to the Saints on the radio because their home games were routinely blacked out because they were so bad. I have lived and died with this team since I was a kid. The point is Payton seems to have a unique ability to take great teams to the playoffs, but then not be able to get the most from the team in the playoffs.
