It appears that Sean Payton and Michael Bidwell, the owner of the Arizona Cardinals, have been seen together at the Cardinals' practice facility in the late afternoon, as reported by Cameron Cox of 12News. Payton arrived before 9 AM with another person for his interview.
Cox stated "they've been at the practice facility all day." He has another tweet that shows Payton and Bidwell leaving the facility headed towards a vehicle in the parking lot.
The development signals Payton and the Cardinals are continuing their talks with mutual interest about potentially becoming their next head coach.
The list of teams for which Payton as a potential candidate dropped after the Carolina Panthers hired Frank Reich as their head coach. The Denver Broncos and Houston Texans have not officially ruled him out of their coaching search. After the season ended, Michael Bidwell, the owner of the Cardinals, was asked if the team was interested in Payton and gave a subtle smirk in response, indicating interest in the former Saints head coach.
The Cardinals have strong ownership, excellent organization, first-class facilities, and a talented roster, all factors Payton mentioned that he would consider when choosing a new team.
Sean Payton is still under contract with the New Orleans Saints until after the 2024 season. Should the Cardinals desire to make an offer for him, they must first negotiate with New Orleans and possibly trade their first-round draft pick and other resources in exchange.

Mickey needs to stand fast on a first this year. It doesn't have to be #3, but get them to trade back with a team like the Panthers (who we know will be looking for a QB) and give us what you get back.

frick that and frick the Cardinals.
Hey you don't want to give multiple firsts? Trade us #3 and 2 2nds and we'll give you a 3rd rd pick.

A second this year and a first and second next year seems like something in the realm of reality.

We are getting that first pick....There have been numerous cases made that Sean Payton is more valuable to an organization than a franchise qb. He wins football games. The Cardinals have invested in their franchise qb heavily. They need a qb coach who can get the most out of that investment. His wife is a spa chick. Arizona makes the most sense.

Would rather get more pics for pushing them to 2024.

A 2nd from cardinals isn't much different than 1st from broncos. I'm down

If we could get #3 for Sean and 2024 2nd. I would be doc holiday fast with the pen signing

It took them an uncomfortable amount of time to get into the car. Looked like Mike couldn’t figure out the app to open his Lucid

Who would you take with #3 if that happened. Young probably won’t be there who else is worth the 3rd pick. I honestly think all the QBs this year are overrated I’ve watched enough bama games to know that young is too . So what do you do with that pick if you get it?

Young or stroud. If neither are there, I'll get Anderson or Carter to wreck olines

I’d try and turn it into multiple 1st round picks from some overzealous team. Maybe move down this year and pick up another for next season, I know it’s not the sexiest move but let’s be honest Allen will tank the team next season. Fire his arse and hire a new coach and let him go to work with 2 firsts

0.00% chance that happens. We’d shake their hand off for 3.

I'm fine by this and even fine by them compensating us next year with more since we have to wait. We're not doing shite with the retard look Dennis Allen on the sidelines so no problem stockpiling picks for the future.

We might not do anything under allen, but I feel like we drafted well last season, so I don't mind picks this season

If you were able to land the no.3 pick
We aren't just lacking a franchise QB
We are lacking longterm franchise players
If you aren't sold on any QBs in this draft you draft the BPA at 3 or you trade back and fill out the roster to the best of your ability.
Safety is obviously in need of an upgrade, Jordan is on his last legs, Demario can't play forever, DT is problematic, probably going to lose Peat creating a hole at Guard, Michael Thomas will be cut, and we have no option behind Kamara that can do more than the bare minimum
