If we use last year’s results as a precedent, the Saints will probably play like crap today.

Last year, the Saints played their worst football once every four weeks:

Sep 15 @LAR (Loss)
Oct 13 @JAX (Win)
Nov 10 vs ATL (Loss)
Dec 8 vs SF (Loss)
Jan 5 vs MIN (Loss)

Yes, the Saints won against Jacksonville, 13-6, but they still played like crap.

Besides being exactly four weeks apart from one another, what do all these Sundays have in common? The players and coaching staff get paid on the Friday before.

The Saints coaching staff and players got paid this Friday, so, if last year was any indicator, the Saints will probably play like crap today.

Also look out for:

Oct 12 vs LAC
Nov 8 vs TB
Dec 6 vs ATL
Jan 3 at CAR

Since 2011, we are 2-7 in season openers.

Since 2014, we are 1-5.
