Saints were dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage

It's obvious the Ravens answer to the Saints passing game was to blitz and vary their pass pressures. So instead of slowing the pass rush by running the ball the Saints continue to do more of what is obviously not working. Instead of putting the ball in the hands of your best and most explosive players (Kamara- Hill) they chose to do what is still not working. Lamar Jackson had more carries(11) than Kamara and Hill combined (10) and it reflects in the stats. Ravens 188 rush yds. Saints 48. Defensively we always struggle with running QB's with our style of defense but it can be manageable if you're making tackles. The tackling last night was horrendous.
Bottom line in an offense that has currently got only one legit wr. and a 37 yo. journeyman QB why are you only giving what is arguably the most talented all-purpose rb back in the NFL 9 carries and 3 recs? Why did Taysom Hill have 1 carry 1 pass 0 recs?
Defensively I'm not going to disparage our defense so much because the Ravens have the #2 rushing offense in the league and Jackson has been doing this all year to other teams ( 8th leading RUSHER in the NFL) Highest ypc in the NFL by almost a yard.
There is a second half to this up and down nightmare of a season. They are going to have to put this behind them and adjust and learn from their mistakes. There is too much talent on this team to perform the way that they did. Put the ball into the hands of your f.cking playmakers and it keeps it out of the f.cking hands of their playmakers.

Where games are won and lost

Posted this at halftime
They aren’t running the ball (7 rushes, 17 pass plays) and the passing plays are trying to push the ball downfield.
This is the style of offense Pete was calling w Winston, and it didn’t work then. At least Winston has the arm strength to get those longer passes there quicker; but either way this team can’t win without running the ball

They had a grand total of 15 rushing plays for the whole game. Instead of slowing down the pass rush with the run they stayed with the slow developing pass plays. Instead of using plays that get the ball out of the QB's hands quickly they stayed with their losing formula.

I thought I saw a graphic at the game saying there were 0 pass attempts over 20 yards. And that was in the last few minutes of the 3rd.

You tell me. You put the ball in Kamara's hands say 30 times. Say 20 rush att. maybe get the ball in his hands out in space maybe 10-12 times. As versus 9 rush att. and 3 rec.
off of 4 lousy targets. How about instead of giving Taysom one friggin' rushing att. and 1 pass target how about 8 or 10 rush atts. and say 6 tgts. How about utilizing the talent we have. So you tell me.

Also, where was Shaheed in the offensive game plan? Too much TreQuan & K White out there
The offense has talent, especially with Landry close to returning, just no rhythm

In the Raiders game Kamara had 18 rush atts. and Hill had 10 and we know the results of that game. You don't put your QB in the pocket to get mauled like that when you have a couple of Thoroughbreds in the stable not being put to proper use.

yep, and whats even more troubling is when ruiz took over at center the o-line play dramatically improved and dalton at least had time to go through the reads.
the people deciding which players to play on this team are clueless
winston had to get hurt for DA to find out dalton was a better QB, and the center had to get hurt for DA to see who the better players were for the O-line. that speaks volumes as to a huge issue with talant evaluations and playing the wrong players. even the game announcers commented that when ruiz went to center, suddenly the saints o-line was completely different and were protecting the QB and giving him more time in the pocket
