At the very least motion will tell you if the defense is in man or zone coverage.

Oh, I know.

“Milk” goats. Jack off into the crusty sock you keep under your bed to photos of Derek Carr and his big muscly arms?

ETA: I really have to know: how does it feel your hero Derek CARRbage is going to let you down? Your life as you know it - posting every waking hour on Tiger Droppings - is going to end. I bet you have your alt fired up already.

I'll still post on TD if I lose just not on Saints talk. It will be a blessing in many ways gulch.

I posted a couple days ago Bill Barnwell said Carr was the best qb in the league on play action in 2021. Saints have run 10 play action passes. League average is 29.

This kind of offense only works when you have an elite top-5 type QB.

Thing is, for 10+ years we had exactly that so just lining up and dissecting the defense worked.

Then why don't you "bless" yourself with an early conceding of defeat and piss off right now? A year to the date from right now you can come back and spam the forum with your shitty takes.

And when they had that Brees for those 10+ years, Payton would still do a lot of motion & shifts and used the shite out of PA. Hell, I remember people bitching on here that the PA doesn’t work because everyone knows we don’t run the damn ball

And Payton did it anyway even when we couldn't run the ball for shite. It was almost as if there is a method to the madness.

Now we shift no one. We never do PA. Our WRs are running routes within 3 yards of each other downfield.

It makes no sense whatsoever.

In Week 1 we were shifting Olave into the backfield as a RB then having him run a route matched up on a LB, and it worked amazingly well.

Then, we never saw it again.

Are Carr and Carmichael smart enough to implement concepts like that? I have my doubts.

It's just ridiculous we can't be a high powered multi demensional offense with all the good players we have.

Well, it doesn't surprise me that they don't use any kind of play action or motion in their offense, but they should, especially inside the red zone. To me it just shows you how inept Pete Carmichaels is at having any kind of imagination offensively. I mean he still calls the same tiresome plays as if Payton were still there, that's all he knows. You know what's about to happen when Taysom Hill comes in the game, the guy(Carmichael) is a damn dinosaur offensively. He is NOO Sean McVay that's for sure!

it's the one thing that will stop any amount of talent dead in its tracks: the fricking coaching staff.

The fact that Dennis Allen told us with a straight face that there would be no change in the play calling is enough for me to be okay with terminating him.

At some point ownership is equally to blame for allowing this clown show to continue.

The offense is loaded at the skill positions with Thomas, Shaheed, and Olave at WRs, and Juwan Johnson and Moreau at TE. And Kamara as the do it all half-back with running and pass catching with solid depth behind him. (And I haven't even mentioned do it all Taysom Hill) I know the OLine has played like crap this season so for, but with all of that talent on offense you should be moving the ball rather easily and not struggling like they are, especially in the red zone. Smh I mean it's ridiculous how they struggle sometimes trying to move the ball with all that talent. Carmicheal should be loaded with ideas in his head of getting the ball in the hands of all of those play makers, but instead he calls plays as if he's loaded on something.

Overheard someone compare PC's offense to the Les Miles/Cam Cameron days where LSU would abandon the middle of the field after the QB (Lee?) threw a few pick 6s. And all I could think was, at least we could run in that offense

Yeah, PCs offense is about 12 years out of date.

Just because it worked in 2011 doesn't mean it will work now.. especially without Prime Drew to bail us out of shite playcalls
