Seems to me, he doesn't want to be here. Get something for him now. Next year, he will walk out the door.

And for those saying that Cooks was fricking up the locker room:

This team is giving the browns a run for being the worst run franchise in the league

Saints lost to Panthers at end of game when Cooks fail to come down with catch in the end zone.

You mean when Cooks beat Norman for what should have been a TD and the ball was underthrown?

He wasn't "outmuscled" for it

I think the whole "he got traded because he mouthed off" deal is overblown. I think it's mainly just the fact that we clearly got a lot of interest in him, we still have Drew Brees, and we need defensive help more than a mainly one dimensional WR.

If no strife inside the team then whats left? The coaches believe so much in our young WR's and Brees that they valued adding to the defense more than Cooks established value?

That's my favorite worst hot take yet

We lost five games by a td or less last year. We need to improve defense.

It was likely the best offer still on the table

Likely?

That's pretty much a guarantee. This just shows you how desperate they were to get rid of him. On paper, this makes no sense.

We drafted a 5'10 receiver in the first round in a year where we needed defense, and traded him 3 years later.

We had a top 5 defense when we drafted him, and the belief was we needed a WR

We also added Byrd that year and extended Junior and Cam

The funny part is they will take an offensive player in the first three picks. You know it's true

Apparently.

It was like the bullshite rhetoric of why we traded Jimmy, when he wasn't a locker room problem. We just thought we could get better pieces elsewhere to help the team more.

Though with this trade I don't see that value. We needed a proven player not a draft pick.

As long as it's Fournette so I can watch this board melt.

So they believed we had a good defense, and we had one of the worst in history. Seem like good talent evaluation to you?
