Wouldn't doubt if he gave the Bears the better opportunity to land him. I could imagine he could have a slight bitterness of how/when he was let go by Saints. He was well liked by teammates when left.

I have a lot of faith in our front office, but man, it really seems like they laid a fat one this year as far as talent evaluation. Especially in the secondary.

Not a whole lot of good NFL CBs walking the streets. The good ones that pop up in free agency demand top money. Also a position that is hard to stay at the top of the game over a long period of time. They have a great 4 years or so then peter out. Revis, Sherman, Norman, etc....

I honestly liked Sterling Moore when he was here.

I did too. He was a bit inconsistent, but early last year he had some really good plays. He was definitely leaps and bounds better than Devante Harris

Saints should just bring back the 3 safety set.

what would you have done coming off last year

This is actually a good question (even though you cannot punctuate or capitalize). I'm sure they felt solid at the CB position with the play they got from last season. Adding P-Rob at slot corner seemed to set us up to be in good shape on paper at least. I'd love to see Moore come back. I thought he played well when called upon.

Why don’t we sign the Bills CB who retired at halftime? Send them a 7th

I would have done more to shore up beind Crawley. I wasn't sold on him much at all last season, feeling like he was still the weak link in the secondary.
2 of our draft picks from this season were cut, both in the secondary, and both picked up by other teams (not that this means anything really), leaving us with Crawley and Williams.

I feel the same. Maybe they felt improving the pass rush would in turn boost corner play? I know pass rush was top priority, but another quality corner seemed to be a necessity to me as well.

yea, like what specifically. Thats what im asking you.
Crawley was fine last year. Adding Patrick Robinson looked great on paper, go find me someone that complained about that or then said wait, we need another CB.

Keep a healthy Vaccaro for cheap instead of a very overpriced part timer in Coleman for $6 mil per.

I think vaccaro was a goner no matter the price. Between the suspension and getting benched, I don’t think he was a Payton favorite. That being said, I wish he was on this team now.

We should be working out Breshard Breeland (sp?) yesterday.

Is he healthy? He wasn't healthy a few months ago.
*edit* this is his last update on rotoworld...Sep 11 - 6:03 PM
Free agent CB Bashaud Breeland visited the Buccaneers Tuesday.
Breeland made his rounds as a free agent in early August but hasn't been heard from since. The Dolphins were the last team to reportedly show interest in signing him. Tampa Bay escaped with a victory over the Saints in Week 1 despite being forced to start two backup corners alongside Vernon Hargreaves. The team has already signed Marcus Williams to shore up one of those top two cornerback positions.
LINK Looks like he's looking for work.
