And this was quick: Former Falcons’ standout Devonta Freeman and the Saints now have reached agreement on a one-year deal, per his agent @DrewJRosenhaus. Freeman reunited with his former college teammate, Jameis Winston.

I don’t mind this signing at all. I always have thought Freeman is a solid player. A little long in the tooth at this point, but should still be able to contribute. I’m guessing he will be behind Latavius Murray on the depth chart though.

Tells me they are going to run the ball with one of the best Oline in league.

With the recv corp hurting teams were going to stack the box and pummel AK.

As said above this allows flexibility.

Good signing.

Haters gonna hate this

I don't see how anyone can hate this.

You can't ask for a better 3rd running back.

He is a vet that can run and catch and looked pretty good with the giants last yr. Saints need to do the same thing at receiver.

Adds some fire to the running backs room. Gonna be a good camp and maybe... we'll see Devonta smashing Falcons... Seems like Coach wants to use a little voodoo... Ok then, I'm starting to feel it. I didn't know if it would happen again...

Was it even that long ago that he was the number one RB in Atlanta and a hot fantasy football pick? Time flies.

Hopefully he makes it thru camp and can be utilized in games to take pressure off Kamara.

Maybe throw in some old school two back set.

Or have Freeman in backfield and Kamara split out.

Defenses won't be able to stack the box like the playoffs

August of '17 the Falcons signed him to a 5 year $41 million deal making him the highest paid RB in the NFL.

Very doubtful he makes an impact this year or even makes the team unless Murray or Kamara get hurt….

More of just a name at this point
