guy who's been around a while in the league... certainly can't hurt to have some valid competition in the LB room... i mean after Davis and Werner it isn't exactly deep

All joking aside, I actually was a little surprised they already cut Winston. He must have had some bad missed assignment, but I thought he looked decent on PR, maybe too much bouncing around, and caught his only target.

could be doing him a solid by letting him get an early jump elsewhere if they know he's not needed here.
