Dunno if was posted but I don’t see it anywhere, DA loves LSU players.

Never forget his pride in wearing that LSU jersey and his tears as he took it off for the last time after his tremendous effort in playing QB in the bowl game.

Really hope he makes the team, he’s one of my favorite tigers ever. Also random fact that we now have Keith Kirkwood, Jontre Kirklin, and Kirk Merritt in the receiver room.

He played really well in the USFL until getting injured. I would have like his chances of making another NFL team, but the Saints have a lot of good WRs that will be hard to beat out.

I think Merritt was a RB/WR/ST hybrid and might actually make the team with Benjamin being out. Or may have as it appears he’s hurt. Not sure how long he’s out, but not good for a bubble guy to miss reps. But that might be why they signed Kirkland. He can do all that. And play QB in a pinch.
It would be a long-shot, but I think if Merritt is out for any extended time, Kirklin could potentially shine in that role in the preseason games and possibly make the 53. I’d rather have what he provides than Hunt.
