Dolphins trade: Pick 48, 116.

Saints trade: Pick 62, 202 and a 2020 second round pick.

I know we got a big jump from 202 to 116, but I thought we might be able to get a bit higher for this year's and next year's seconds.

116 is a 4th correct? I guess the value checks out.

Well we are gonna have to wait till 116 to get one. I disagree though. With Meredith coming back, Ginn, Thomas, and Smith, not sure we need a wr

You won't be saying that when the Saints are picking first in the 2nd round next year after White makes Brees retire in the Bucs game.

Pick is good. Very good player. Not sure they got good value though. 2 2nds giving up 3 picks for a 4th and moving up a few spots in the 2nd seems like Dolphins won that trade to me.

I think we trade Peat for that 2020 2nd rd pick that we just gave up

I feel like we overpaid a little cause it's a second and not a third.

Next years 3rd and I'd be super happy but they couldn't pass McCoy up

Team captain. Produced on the field. Has great size and athleticism for the position. Position of need. Was drafted lower than expected. Analysts really don’t have anything bad to say about him. I would say this was a damn perfect pick.

Dolphins gave us a 4th rounder, something we didn’t have. We can still get a decent TE or another WR that round.

Well now we still desperately need a WR

Isn’t this a really deep wr class?

Yes.

The later value on WRs is wayyyy higher than the early guys

Yes. Our fan base loves to overreact. We can still get a decent WR with that 4th rounder

With next year's 3rd we wouldn't have been able to move up from 6th to 4th.

McCoy is telling the media now the saints say he’s a center

Exactly. We wanted a fourth round pick. We didn’t have one. This was a calculated move yet our base automatically assumes we got trade raped lol

We just got a badass Center.

Don’t teams value 4th round picks extremely high? I remember reading that one time

Next year's second is valued as a third. That was always going to be the cost of moving up with our second.

The other option was giving up next year's first, but we definitely could have gotten a higher pick that way, and have kept 62. But a first is always pricey. Just depends on the player whether it's worth it.

I don’t get why people want to trade good offensive linemen, it’s the most important position on a football team.
