Saints Projected 32nd in Roster

I genuinely dont hate it. I think we are much better than 32nd, right? Like the Pelicans, we could be dangerous if we stay healthy.

When the article mentions Kendre Miller as the “non starter to know” it’s really bad. This board has three 0-17 threads on the first page. It’s justified.

20 years into Loomis regime and 5 years post Brees and we’re now in this position of a rebuild. Sell the damn team, it’s hopeless.

That article is weak....

Cam Jordan is a strength?

Dude should've retired 2 years ago...

No mention of Olave or Shaheed, no mention of a solid O line...

There is literally no way we go 0-17, so that shite needs to stop. Most of the doomers have been complaining for years that we need to rebuild. This is how you do it.

There are just too many uncertainties. If the reshuffling of the offensive line works out, if one of our 2 QBs plays well and if we don't get decimated by injuries, then we may be able to compete in a weak division. That's a lot of "if's" to make up for.

I don't think we're going to end up with the worst record in the NFL, but I don't think we're going to be in the playoff conversation either. We are in a rebuild with a overhauled coaching staff though, so I don't see it as doom and gloom. The hope is that the young players show improvement towards the end of the year and we can start getting back into playoff conversations in a couple of years.

ETA: The pelicans have a higher ceiling if they can stay healthy, although the injury bug has already started with the rookie Queen. Spacing will be an issue, but if they can stay healthy for the most part they should be decent.

This is a very contradictory statement. Let's play the game for a second. Why would the owner contemplate a sale when they are just starting the rebuild the roster/team? If this was the 2nd or 3rd attempt at a rebuild, and they kept falling on their face; sure, there are bigger problems and I could see the fan demand for a major shakeup potentially including the owner. But they just started the process, and you think it's hopeless because the team is expected to be bad while they purge the bad contracts?

Also, Loomis gets a lot of shite for the moves that have been made. He very well may have been 100%; however, at the same time, we do not have the privy to know if Dennis L or Gayle were giving him instructions on not wanting to rebuild and trying to hold onto the Payton era. The other part of this is Lomis has hired 3 HCs in his career: He took a chance on a hot young OC in Payton, instead of the safe retread; at a time when Loomis did not have a security blanket with the team. He then failed miserably with his DA hire (how much was on him vs hire ups wanting to keep the Payton momentum). Why would they not give him a 3rd shot when the team desperately needs a roster reset/rebuild?

Hate Loomis all you want, but he wasn't going anywhere because of 1 bad hire when he still gets to use Payton as his only other hire. Now, if Moore fails that is a completely different story

We didn’t win a single game that Derek Carr didn’t start last year. Neither of our current QBs were good in college. We lack playmakers with the ball in their hands so this will force these QBs to put long drives together. Hopefully we don’t go 0-17 but it’s definitely a possibility by how things look on paper.

Had Jamarcus and Carr not been injured they are probably in the playoffs at least 2 of the past 4 years. Every team goes through a down cycle, but some of you can't appreciate the fact that theer was an 18 year span where they were in the playoff hunt virtually every year until the last game.

They are shuffling 3 of the 5 positions on a team; when has a team ever done that and had the oline considered to be solid? Especially since all of these guys simply use PFF type grades to determine how good a player is.

And with that said, the o-line is the X-factor here; as it should be

No mention of Olave or Shaheed,

The topics are Strength, weakness, X-factor & nonstarter. When the QB position is the weakness, why would any of the weapons be mentioned if you have major reservations about the guy that needs to get them the ball for them to be effective?

Only way either of them make this list is if they would have gone with Shaheed as a strength or x-factor because of his KR & PR

Worse teams have not gone 0-17 and all of a sudden the Panthers are supposed to be really good? A tear ago Bryce Young was a complete and utter broken bust. How about overreaction and things change real fast.

We won 5 games with:
-multiple starting qbs
- zero rb depth outside of Kamara(who missed games)
-olave and shaheed missed more than half of the games
- McCoy missed a majority of the season
- starting LG Lucas Patrick missed games
- DENNIS ALLEN was the coach (coaching matters)
- Adebo Broke his leg
- Marshon washed and traded
- Todd Grantham was D Line Coach
- Will Harris was on IR
-Ruiz missed 4 games
-Peter Werner missed 4 games
- did I miss anything?

I sort of like being "under the radar" so to speak....

No one is expecting the Saints to do shite this year, but we'll see... Still have to play ball.

Buddy D and numerous other journalists and who dat fans called for the same thing constantly in the 80s with John Mecom.

I never once called for the team to be sold under Tom Benson so get a grip loser. Gayle is the problem and the astute posters here (more will come to this conclusion) are wisely calling for the team to sell as the only hope. She was in over her head with a $300k interior decorating business let alone 2 multi billion enterprises. How did Dixie Beer work out?

If you are scared to criticize Gayle because your self esteem is tied to have a NFL team in NOLA that’s reasonable. But lower your expectations to being consistent bottom feeders like the Mecom years because it’s eerily similar.

Everything you just typed shows how big of a retard you are. Who ties your shoes for you in the morning?

Then show me how by using your brain to counter points. You can’t so your emotions cause you to lash out with a retard claim.

Tell me why Gayle is a great owner and both franchises have great rosters playoff bound. Tell me why she was a successful decorator and her branding call on Dixie Beer was a success.

I can be moved off an opinion if the facts can be convincing. Have at it if you are capable. If you were you would’ve made the argument already.
