The New Orleans Saints said they’re playing to win in Week 17 and won’t use the game to audition young players for next year. So it’s unclear if we’ll see any additional playing time for second-round draft pick Stanley Jean-Baptiste on Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
...
That’s a bit of a head-scratcher – if not a downright disappointment – since the Saints used so many other inexperienced cornerbacks during the season. Current starter Terrence Frederick began the year on the practice squad. And undrafted rookie Brian Dixon has played extensively in nickel and dime packages.

It's ridiculous, but not a surprise.

really wanted to see lelito play. gotta know what we have at that position.

I hope nobody is actually surprised the arrogant prick of a coach would do this?

Moronic. You can play to win while using your young reserves. Running your full gameplan through them lets you know where they are and what they can handle. But yeah let's try to see how many more yards Brees can pile up. That helps the franchise a ton

Gotta make sure Brees gets to 5,000 and throws a TD!
Posted on 12/24/14 at 2:34 pm to Sho Nuff
What does SJB starting have to do with Brees playing?

Lelito and Senio should play whole game on the OL in place oh Goodwin and Grubs. Powell should start before Junior. SJB should Mach up with Evans the whole game. Bench Toon, Jenkins, Vaccaro, Graham and Brees!!!!!! Then play to win!!!!

I bet they won't even practice tomorrow. I don't believe anything CSP says anymore. Fire everyone!!!
Posted on 12/24/14 at 8:20 pm to THRILLHO
I'm only concerned about SJB not playing.
Posted on 12/24/14 at 9:13 pm to saintsfan22
Dude is fricking terrible. What is there to be concerned about? I doubt he'd have made the team had he not been a high pick.
Posted on 12/24/14 at 10:29 pm to SaintlyTiger
As long as I know they are trying to win, there's a better than 50% chance they will lose.
