Unfortunately we don't have the assets or cap room to trade for a young healthy stud WR

Cap room is not an issue and the Saints have draft picks from 2020 - the end of time so having assets is not an issue. Whether they would be willing to give up those assets and take the cap hit is another matter, but they have the means to acquire any player.

Its a damn shame.... Kenny Stills would have been a great #2 hitting his prime, but im glad they sent him off though....

Can you imagine: significant maturity issues to go along with his SJW bulldonkey???

Would have been a major issue/ distraction last few seasons. Prob a totally different locker room.

A healthy, younger Jarvis Landry was traded for a 4th and 7th in the middle of the season. I would assume a 4th or 5th could get it done.

I would say that is more just the logical situation. Green is looking to go to a winner. Saints are a winner that could really use his services. Seems like a no brainer

Honestly, I don't really care whether it's Sanders or Green. I would prefer Sanders, but both are a significant upgrade over what the Saints currently have, and the lack of WR2 is really hurting us.

Yep. I'd rather Sanders, but I'd be perfectly happy with Green.

The upside of Green is that of an elite WR. He has that talent. Was a unanimous top 10 guy until this season because he is kinda off the radar. Sanders would be a nice fit, but he isn't the same caliber of player that Green is. Sanders is a slightly safer pickup, but it's not like he hasn't had his injuries of late, too.

If Green was guaranteed to be 100% by week 10 or 11, then I'd take Green all day. Sanders is more of a safe addition, but Green is the better player imo.

I agree though. If all things are equal...I'd take Green. I just really don't want to get screwed by an injury.

I think most of us would be happy with either. It's help at a position of need.

but green is dragging it out cause he wants a new contract.
why would he rush back for that shitty team who won't give him a new contract.

aj green would ball here.
I think the saints would go after him first

Trade for Green and we can bring back Kamara in week 10.

See what Brees, Thomas, and Kamara can do.

This is the question. Why wouldn’t he want to show “he’s back” so he can cash in?

Can he cash in if he remains injured?

I question the theory that he’s holding out injured. I think it kills his value.

He may be legit having a poor recovery.

Either way, trades are contingent on a physical. And that would reveal his ankle health.

Throw in Cook who will benefit greatly from having Brees and Murray who will have an easier time running the ball with the pass game being more of a threat
