Been a saints fan since I knew what football was. As far as expectations, knowing the talent this team has, and having to see a wasted season... Yes, worst football season I've had to watch, because it shouldn't have been this way.

And it's been a shitty year for me outside of football as well; but I'm not getting into that.

Are the Saints in if the Giants lose the rest of their games?

If the Giants, Cowboys, Bears, and Vikings all lose out, and the Saints win out, yes.

I'm just assuming the Rams lose a game.

How "classic Saints" would it be if all of this happened, except the rams won out and sneak in because of their tie.

Minny: @ Texans, and vs GB
both teams fighting for #1 overall or first round bye, very meaningful games for them. Minny could easily lose both

Dallas: vs Saints, and @ Redskins
both teams fighting for playoffs, and division. Very meaningful games, Dallas could easily lose both Redskins playing well lately

Rams: @ Tampa, and @ Seattle
Tampa has nothing to play for, but they are a very prideful team. I doubt Schiano lets them relax, and Seattle it is a meaningful game for Playoff seeding.

Giants: @ Ravens, and vs Philly
Very meaningful game for the Ravens for the division, but not a meaningful game for Philly in a Playoff sense. Eagles have been playing better lately, except for all the turnovers their past game. Andy Reid is playing for his job, and to the players this is a try out to see if they stay with team or not. So definitely not a meaningless game.

Chicago: @ Arizona, and @ Detroit
2 meaningless games for Playoff hopes. Arizona is just downright pathetic lately, but they beat Detroit today. Detroit had been playing really tough lately, barely losing to Green Bay, Colts, and Houston. They also barely lost to the Bears the first time they played.

I tried to rank them in order of teams I felt could lose their games the easiest. Chicago losing either of those games doesn't look likely at all, Giants losing to Philly just a tad bit more likely but not likely at all either. And Rams losing to Tampa who knows.

On the outside it looks like we might finish just 1 game short of the playoffs, which sucks. Having to fight through all the drama this season, and comeback from the terrible start only to finish just short and in the process hurt our draft pick.

Slow down Coco, the 1980 Saints went a dismall 1-15 with the only win being the Jets by 1 point. I remember this year like it was yesterday.

Read above post where I explain my reasoning, and stated it was more than football this year. I am young, but I've been a fan since I was 5-6, and I am almost 23.

The worst years in my opinion were when the Saints were rolling teams in the early 90's, finishing with 10+ wins, only to get beat in the playoffs. I remember the Hebert/Philly meltdown vividly - I still hate Mo Lewis.

I'll say this...the Saints WILL NOT beat the Cowboys. Romo is on fire, the defense is keeping them in games and I just dont think the saints have it in them.

couldnt disagree more... this team can beat any team in the NFL... it just depends on which offense and which defense show up each given sunday.

We need to win out and for all the other NFL teams to tie all the rest of their games.
