remember Sean Payton is 8-1 when Drew is not the starter, the one loss is a week 17 game where we didn't try to win

That’s not accurate.
Mccown started a game in like week 2 of 2015 and the Saints lost.

Drew was in a Pro-Bowl in San Diego. Maybe Drew made Payton?

But yet Philip Rivers beat him out of a starting job

Easy to say that after the fact. At the time they thought it was career ending. You are making it sound like Rivers just beat out Brees for the spot when thats not the case.

They did draft Rivers when Brees was healthy

Absolutely... But was he not riding the bench?

There def was early years that made them feel the need to draft his replacement. But he turned it around. The year before he got hurt he had 27 TDs to 7 ints. He was clearly coming around

Smeds is a idiot a troll or both.
Brees was a starting nfl QB and not playing for CSP.
Brees gets hurt bad and they have the luxury of having a no.1 QB riding the pine.

CSP hasn't passed for one damn yard or score of Drew's first ballot hall of fame career. CSP hasn't read one defense on the field or taken one sack for the Saints.

You can't help those like Smeds.

@RapSheet

One note on #Saints RB Alvin Kamara being back at practice: The shot he received in his back was just for SI joint inflammation and the shot calmed it down. Not considered a big deal at all.
