A lot of people have work.
It's also Dennis Allen. Not exactly an exciting interview.

Dennis Allen is a safe and solid coach. Obviously the seamless fit with the front office was ideal. The game is largely dependent on offensive ingenuity, it will be a huge task to keep this organization moving forward from an offensive standpoint with the hurdles we have on that side of the ball.
Your LT is a FA and often injured.
You have no TE weapon.
You best WR hasn't played ball in a year and half w/ possible lockerroom friction.
Your QB room consist of a FA recovering from a knee and other with a lisfranc injury.
Your star RB that the offense revolves around just committed a felony in vegas on video.
You are replacing the offensive mind of Sean Payton.
Best of luck.

I was pretty impressed with what he had to say.

I'll walk this back some and say it was a very good interview by Allen and he answered all questions well while looking excited to be the head coach. Hope he makes the team his team and it succeeds.

Eh, Payton was starting to get passed by. You could tell this past season he had no answers.

i had some issues w/ payton here and there.
but...
this was still a season in which we had to go 4 deep on the qb roster in meaningful starts and snaps as well as an offensive line that was a wreck and our best WR unavailable the entire year.
it was a player personnel shite show in which i think we still faired pretty well all considering.

the main things discussed was lessons learned from time as Raiders head coach... and the Alvin Kamara situation (where he didn't really make any comment)
not a lot to take from that presser
not a lot to take from that presser

Payton's offense has been stuck in 2015. That dude's offense was archaic and has been figured out long ago. All these new offensive guys that have been hired the last 5 years have leaps and bounds surpassed Payton. Where Payton's value lied was just being a head coach and managing the team.

what an understatement.
Payton is an undeniable offensive genius. but clearly his heart and passion wasnt in it anymore. you dont want a guy like that. period.
He also drove the offensive plane into the sky then jumped out of it midway through and now someone else has to figure it out. He didnt exactly do right by us in the end.
