None. Entire cap hit is on Saints for 2025.

But it gets rid of all of it in 2026.

That’s honestly good. He’s often injured and approaching 30.

You guys are acting like we are trading the 23 year old dude who was defensive rookie of the year.

who the f doesnt get hurt on this team moron?
doesnt mean we need to trade a premium corner

If it helps your brain, we are getting a 3rd and a really good 6th round pick, plus moving up from our 5th to their 4th, which might not be a massive difference. As far as NFL player trades go, that’s pretty decent draft equity as players never seem to go for as much as maybe you would think.

My understanding is that we're on the hook for his $31.66 million cap hit for next season, but he's off the books after that. Washington assumes his contract/salary for the next 2 years

Why in the f do you trade our best corner??

Keep him so we can do what? Try to go 6-11 next year? By the time this team can be ready to compete again in a few yearS Lattimore will be too old

It’s about eventually clearing the cap so we can get to the point of trying to be competitive again

yeah Ill miss the injuries...But the injuries have piled up since. Starting with Week 1 of the 2022 season, Lattimore has played in 24 of a possible 43 games.

Why is everyone so upset?

Marshon for a 3rd is not a bad deal.

4th + 6th for a 5th is also not a bad deal.

People are acting like marshon is always available too.

This is almost a fleece for the saints given his injury history. If you're gonna bitch about a 5th when we got their 4th (at least 5 spots better than our 5th) then you just don't understand how shite works.

not saying its a bad trade, if that helps your brain. just wondering if the contract was restructured before the trade. overthecap hasn't been updated because they still have him on our roster.

I've been rooting for the Commanders this season already. Nice to see a team in good cap situation get a great player.

Loomis, this is how you do it. Once you have the superstar qb, then you go after other players.
