By the way, am I the only one who thought Peterson's fumble was a legit fumble? I thought Hochuli's explanation made as much sense as a football bat.

I think it could've gone either way, my mom thinks it was a fumble.

I need to see the replay of the fumble again. To me it looked like he did not have complete possession when the knee hit the ground. Maybe about 85% possession. Either way it was close enough to give us the call to make up for the missed facemask.

quote:Is there a such thing as 85% possession? Isn't that like being a little bit pregnant? I mean, either he had possession or he didn't. To me, the ball was knocked out before the knee hit the ground. That, and correct me if I'm wrong here, constitutes a fumble in the NFL.

Either way, the point is moot.

Ha ha, I don't know. I'm just pulling shite out of my arse at this point trying to come up with a logical viewpoint of what the refs actually saw.
85% possession, little bit pregnant, pre-heated oven, half asleep, it's all the same.

Towelie, can we just agree that it was a missed call? I understand your point regarding the angle of Guns' view and the fact that it was not his call to make. Regardless of the blown call, it is over and we cannot do anything about it.

I love their explanation:

quote:
I called the Saints about it this morning, and they said it was the highest-resolution shot they had of Bush, who returned two punts for touchdowns in the 30-27 loss.

what do you idiots not get about the fact that Ed's job is to look for holding on the offensive line?
Then he wasn't doing his job in the first place. He seemed to be looking at none other than Reggie Bush on that play not the offensive line.

From 20 yards away, you can tell where his eyes are looking? its not possible he is looking at couple of offensive lineman a couple yards to the right or left of reggie?
