1a. Porter's SB Pick
1b. Pregame/Tunnel/Anthem/Kickoff/Punt Block on 9/25/06
1c. Hartley's NFC Champ FG

Everytime I think about each one, I feel like it's better than the other two. If I was forced to pick one, it would probably be the Porter Pick.

None of the others are really close to those 3.

I couldn't find any highlights on youtube but I remember seeing it before...1987- Saints defeat Tampa Bay in the dome to clinch first playoff birth

I would also nominate Saints defeating 49ers in San Francisco 26-24 on last second Morten Andersen FG in 1987. That win really proved the Saints were for real that year.

Let me put one up for consideration.

Deuce's first down against Philly in 2006. Made it to our 1st NFCCG.

Porter's interception in the NFCCG will be forever embedded in my mind. The wife and I sold our tickets to a buddy of mine because we needed the money (we just had our first baby).

I was starting to have a panic attack as the Vikings drove the ball down the field because I knew it was over for us. All of a sudden, Favre rolls out and Porter picks off the pass. I cant express the joy/relief/excitement that I was feeling at that moment. His pick six was huge in the SB but we were already winning i.e. there wasnt as much stress. The vikings were already in field goal range, and God gave us a gift. There will never be a play in the history of sports that makes me happier than porter picking favre. period.

For me it's

1) Blocked punt to re-open Dome
2) Porter INT in SB44
3) Hartley's kick in NFC CG
4) Hakim drops the ball
5) Dempsey's kick
6) Porter INT of Favre
7) Gilliam KR
8) River City Relay
9) SB44 onside kick
10) Demolition of Dallas in 2006
Honorable mention... Meachem's strip

For me, the Hartley FG was the more thrilling moment

As a conditioned Saints fan, I was fully expecting him to miss... and it went straight down the fricking middle.

I still think the pick 6 was bigger though. Maybe because I told dozens of people that the Saints would win with a pick 6 for the 2 weeks leading up to the SB.

Hands down have got to say the re-opening of the Dome... 9/25/2006

Probably one that is the greatest of any team, any sport, ever.

The re-opening was big, and I got emotional. The sack on Vick and the subsequent punt block had me crying like a girl though.

I was there for that one.

The guys around us were bitching about fireworks in a dome... but made no mention of LSU using them in a MUCH smaller dome not too long before.

Porter's Pick 6 in the Super Bowl.

Porter's INT in the NFCCG was incredible because it seemed like the Saints' season was about to come to a close and somehow they found a way. Hartley's kick was unreal. When you watch so much football you realize just how much stuff has to go right for a FG to be made. So with that in my mind I was scared as hell. The kick was awesome, but I still wanted more.

Porter's Pick 6 tops it all because getting to the Super Bowl was awesome, but all I ever wanted was to one time say, "Saints were the best. They won the whole damn thing." For it to have come down to that, for Porter to have made another huge play at the end of the game was surreal. When he crossed the line it hit everyone, "Oh my God they won the f'n Super Bowl!" and no one can ever take that away.
