Pissed, because they will whiff as usual in the draft in the 1st round. Trade Kamara, get a dynamic play maker on offense. The top teams in the NFL all have someone who can take over a game on offense that the defense puts an emphasis to stop. What do the Saints have?

You are either good or bad, being in the middle is terrible. We are headed toward a possible fourth middling season in a row.

I just don’t want to draft the next Josh Rosen. Where is that guy now? The Cards then wised up and took Kyler Murray. He’s not great either, but the Cards are in first place.

Not angry. I would enjoy watching my team win, and play well.

There is rarely a generational talent in the NFL draft that is surefire enough to tank like the NBA.

Def not in next years draft.

24: Fuaga - Foundational player
23: Bresee - 10 career sacks
22: Olave - b2b 1000 yard seasons
22: Penning - Whiff, but serviceable
21: Turner - Whiff
20: Ruiz - Good enough

That’s about the average HIT rate for most NFL teams. If anything it’s been the middle round/or lack there of picks that have killed us

Right. Trade the only playmaker we have after just re-signing him and sign a better one with no cap space. What a Moran

By trading Kamara, you get a pick or two. They key is drafting good players with those picks. It worked well for Dallas when they traded Walker to Minnesota. Plus you get off cheaper with younger players. Anyone that believes the Saints are "close" is a freaking idiot. The entire structure of the organization needs to be blown up by adding youth, and most of all speed and better talent evaluation. N.O. is one of the oldest teams in the league due to a GM hanging on to a security blanket for way too long. You think Payton wanted to stick around? Absolutely not. It starts with better scouting and the draft. Pittsburgh has done it for 50 years with that organizational plan.

Remember that not a single player in this upcoming draft has ever played a down of actual NFL football. Any given pick could be a Jayden Daniels. He could also be a JaMarcus Russell. Despite your best efforts, you just never know how that will turn out.

Far better to focus on building an overall winning culture than to play for higher picks. There’s a new coach auditioning for the job. Maybe he’ll get the job if he turns things around enough. Then again, maybe the Saints find someone even better. With the roster and cap situation they have, I doubt they’ll be getting the flavor of the month whiz bang coach, so maybe it’s best to ride with Rizzi if he can prove himself now.

Either way, tanking for draft position with this much football left in the season would just be dumb.

Why would I be mad? Who fricking gives a shite it's fake get over it when the NFL wants us to win again we will win. We are a small market team that does not generate a ton of revenue for the league so they don't give a shite about us. Why would they want this in their big game they only allowed us to go last time because of Katrina

What pick do you think you’re getting for a 30yo running back? Much less two? But yeah baw, go ahead and trade the heart and soul of your team for a 5th rounder, that’ll SHOW em

They have 6 picks in the first four rounds of the draft. You hit and you’re the frontrunner to win the division and you keep building for there

There you said it. A 30 year old RB. Another team would take Kamara and his contract. During the last 15 plus years, the Saints have found some good players in the mid rounds that have actually contributed more than those drafted in the top tier rounds. You're sold on the notion of not doing anything but getting older and slower. That ain't winning games. You're not fully understanding the point I'm making about them getting younger. Seems to me you're one of these squirrels who are still holding on to the Drew Brees era, i.e. Mickey Loomis.

So trade away a proven producer (one of the few they have, actually) for the hope that the shiny unproven rookie isn’t fool’s gold?

Ok Mr. Loomis.

YOU NEED TO GET YOUNGER AND FASTER ! I can't believe some people don't get it. Fine, be a dinosaur, while the other teams in your division are getting younger by building through the draft and dont whiff on it. And you wonder why they lost 7 straight and haven't beaten anyone with a winning record? The mentality of the knucklehead fanbase is exactly like Loomis. Refusing to change, content being mediocre. Some even want a special teams nobody after 2 games, to be the next HC. Gimme a break.

He’s going to be in his 30s and is not cheap. We have no real home run hitters on the roster or any meaningful depth to speak of.

To be a serious contender in this league you either need to have an elite qb or need a well stocked, young roster with solid depth across the board. Kamara is a great player but he’s old and that money could likely be spent elsewhere in a more long term foundational piece.

During this rebuild our entire running back room should be significantly cheaper than what we’re paying Kamara. Add the fact that we’re paying worthless arse Williams anything at all much less what we’re paying him and it’s kind of a shitshow for an old, slow, or injured room.

This isn’t a knock on kamara but he’s just a luxury beyond our means IMO.
