The bye week can't come soon enough.

Injuries are never an excuse, but the Saints laundry list of players that are banged up sure makes it hard to field a winning team. A baker’s dozen appear on the teams’ initial injury report for week 11 vs. the LA Rams:
Did Not Practice

CB Marshon Lattimore (abdomen)

C Josh Andrews (illness)

DE Marcus Davenport (calf)

S J.T. Gray (hamstring)

T James Hurst (concussion)

RB Mark Ingram (knee)

DE Cameron Jordan (eye)

T Ryan Ramczyk (illness)

LB Pete Werner (ankle)

G Andrus Peat (triceps)

Limited

WR Jarvis Landry (ankle)

S Marcus Maye (abdomen)

DT Malcolm Roach (ankle)

One positive from the list was seeing Pete Werner in the locker room without the walking boot on that he was wearing last week.

Another good thing is that the team will be wearing their throwback uniforms (pictured above) for Sunday’s matchup in the Caesars Superdome. The Saints previously wore them in their contest against the Detroit Lions in 2016 to commemorate the franchise’s 50th anniversary season.

Unless you have an elite team, overcoming this many injuries to key starters is going to just crush your season. We have neither an elite team or elite coaching, so that’s how you end up a bottom feeder.

Only one of our starting offensive lineman is healthy. On the other side of the ball, only two of our starting defensive lineman are healthy. That’s insane

This reminds me of that Redskins season several years ago where they were just pulling people off the street to play in games.

At some point the franchise needs to start questioning either the training staff or the players they're bringing in.

So did we even run a practice? Were the waterboys filling in for all the players missing?

When did that come out? Was wondering what has kept him out so long.
