Not a fan. Chiefs are supremely overrated.

Nagy would be the worst hire ever

Until Loomis is replaced without assistant coaches being retained, any coach selected is like going from a shite sandwich to a turd floating in a punch bowl.

If we're stuck with Loomis and Loomis' desire to keep staff, this might be about as good as it gets.

Le Sigh.

Holly crap! Loomis is picking to offensive version of Dennis Allen.

He's definitely an upgrade over Allen.

Been very average recently. Give me the guy that has Goff putting up better numbers than Mahomes.

Navy has Mahomes and can't even run an offense that gets him to the pro bowl.

That guy has no interest. The most desirable candidate is not taking the least desirable opening.

The lions are better than the chiefs at probably every offensive position but qb. Maybe the chiefs interior oline is equal, but I doubt it. The chiefs were also destroyed at wr this season.

ETA... it's a moot point anyway bc Andy runs the chiefs offense.

No he wouldn’t. Some of y’all listen to pardon my take too much. The bears are a terrible organization. He isn’t the worst option to captain a 2-3 year rebuild.

Dude only had one losing season in 4 years in Chicago with a shite roster and no QB. He won 12 games with Mitch fricking Trubisky at QB. In his only losing season, he was forced to start Justin fields because the team didn't have a backup worth a damn. He could very well still be the Bears coach today if Andy Dalton never gets hurt in 2021.

There are 30 names worse than Matt Nagy that we can hire. Best case, he wins 10-11 games with Carr, Kamara, Shaheed, and Olave - the four best Offensive weapons he would have ever had as a head coach.

Worst case, he's a legitimate tank driver to reset the franchise.

If he wasn’t any good, Andy Reid wouldn’t have brought him back to be OC.

You can be a great coordinator but a terrible head coach. We just went through that…

Visors look dumb on everyone. If you’re gonna wear a visor, wear a hat. You look better, and you protect yourself from skin cancer in the process.

But it does kind of makes sense. I mean how many players have they signed from the Chiefs in recent years? Why stop there? Why don't we just start hiring some of their assistant coaches while we're at it?.

It worked so well when we did it with the raiders

Oh hell yeah let’s tank this shite.

If they hire Nagy… hopefully Gayle and Loomis are playing chess. Meaning we tank for 2-3 years with Nagy while adding a shite ton of talent.

Then we a hire a real HC with a loaded roster?

I mean Nagy was over .500 for his career. A lot of that was buoyed by a 12 win first season. I don’t think he’s any worse than what we had and he could actually be a good bit better. My gut is just that he isn’t a franchise changing coach. Think he probably has a bunch of .500 ish seasons or slightly below.

His defense definitely was not shite especially in those earlier more successfully years. Khalil Mack was absokutely wrecking shite and that’s when Hicks hit his peak as well.

Allen Robinson had 2 great seasons in Chicago and was a much more talented player than shaheed albeit different. At that time he was arguably better than Olave as well. Cohen also opened up that offense a bit as he had real juice when he hit the scene similar to shaheed. Darnell Mooney was injured a lot but he’s pretty comparable to shaheed. David Montgomery is clearly no slouch and I’d argue that he was just as good as Kamara will be at the late stages of his career which Nagy would be inheriting (although obviously more power to Kamara’s slasher).

Our skill players are pretty shite at this point in terms of depth annd lack of big play ability and easily amongst the worst in the NFL as a whole. It would be ideal if they were a 2 and 3 on a decent roster in the receiving group and we had 2 more decent running backs one of which was an actual burner.

Let’s be real here. One wr is maybe a concussion away from retirement and the other is an undrafted speed guy coming off a major lower body injury. Probably also not wise to be reliant on kamara north of 30. Would be way better if he was the pass catching compliment in a platoon.

I think our skilled players as currently constructed would be about what he was used to or maybe a minor step down from most of his years there. The defense DEFINITELY does not have the top end players he did. So if he had one good year, one bad year, and two meh years I certainly don’t think our roster is going to boost that unless he’s become a MUCH better coach

What exactly do you call the saints at any point that doesn’t include the combination of CSP and Drew Brees?
