Even in that period, they've had a winning record in 2/3 years.

Then use another word. A winning team is a team with a winning record. The saints have been a winning team 2 of last 3 seasons

It makes more sense to use winning seasons than overall record for a period. For instance, the Vikings are 28-23 the last 3 seasons, but they only have 1 winning record in that period

No, my point is we haven't been terrible lately. We haven't been good, but most of our issues have been injury related imo.

Why?

Did we do anything of note in any of those seasons?

Which means they had one really great year in there, which is something to note.

We have not. We're just in the sludge of mediocrity with no path out.

Who has said that?

This is what a straw man is.

Everyone is saying we're mediocre, not terrible.

I don’t think that’s accurate, but injuries and a lack of depth to absorb them one could argue is a symptom of our cap punting. We move mountains that give us enough room to sign rookies and make a few moves

But I think coaching is a much bigger issue than injuries

shite I could even take a mediocre w/l record if the product was at least entertaining to watch

It’s been dull and sloppy the last two years, hard to even watch

Yeah. The scary part is lots of our defensive core are aging out. Cam got a stupid extension (again, to kick can and emotionally reward him) and then declined severely. We'll be lucky if Davis is elite this year. Mathieu/Maye are absolutely washed.

But our cap strategy is going to force us to keep these guys as starters b/c we have to extend them for cap purposes (when we should be shedding them). Cam should probably not be a Saint this year. Instead he's got a $24M cap number with $36M in dead cap, as a 34-year old in severe decline.

chicken has already stated ad infinitum he will NOT enforce crap like that. If the user who made the bet will not self ban then shame on them and they lose all credibility they may have had here.

Why suffer today when you can kick the can down the road and suffer for 4 more years and add dead cap space

You’re such a soft loser. Oh the horror we are finding ourselves and restocking the qb after years of Drew Brees. We’ve had one year of Derek carr and there’s decent optimism that he might be good enough for us to compete a bit while we continue to reshape our franchise. Sorry our management doesn’t act like an emotional bitch that you desire and project.

How is discussing purely rational decision making being emotional?

The irony of you posting emotional-attchment optimism would be funny if the projection onto me via ad homa wasn't so sad.

Actually its not, its been constantly about Loomis and the Saints Front Office, and pussies like yourself melting, and saying shite like “kicking the can down the road” and “when are we going to hire an OC” and “I give up on the Saints FOffice” blah blah blah.

Dont deflect and try to make it aboit SP/Brees (the same Brees you admittedly shite on and wanted gone a year too soon).

The Saints ARE a winning franchise, with Loomis, etc. and have been for some time.

Actual facts - Saints have 7th most wins since 2000 and are one of only 13 teams to win a SBowl in that time frame.

Now put your tampon in and shut the frick up you bleeding vagina.

I bet you would fricking complain if you won the lotto.

You’re soft. We’ve had 2 out of 3 winning seasons and you’re trying to pretend to be rational making petulant arguments for the sole sake of reminding everyone on here how much of a pure dipshit you are.

You are a very 2 dimensional “thinker”. Not every argument you disagree with is made by the same people.

For example I could care less about not having an OC immediately. Especially if they are looking at assistants that are still coaching.

Also just because someone did good things in the past doesn’t mean they will continue to be great going forward or that nothing they do can be criticized. Also criticizing someone for some actions is not condemning them for all actions. Criticizing the front office doesn’t mean they should be fired.

So we are celebrating 9-8 and missing the playoffs? And what exactly is the upside here? I’d be fine with a season like Tampa just had, but not as the ceiling for the next few years
