Teams are going to score. If we keep the turnover margin in our favor then we'll have a nice little season.

Here is the breakdown, which I think highlights all the different ways we're trying to get to the passer right now:

Jordan 3.0
Kikaha 2.0
Klein 1.0
Okafor 1.0
Anzalone 1.0
Onyemata 1.0
Hendrickson 1.0
Bush 1.0

Rankins? He in a Sophmore slump or has he been good creating pressure? I'm okay if he doesn't have sacks if he is consistently collapsing the pocket

What I find interesting about these stats is that they truly show how terrible our Defense was the first 2 games. Our last 2 games, our D has given up an average of 6.5 points, yet we are sitting at over 19 points per game given up.

Hopefully, we are on our way up to being a top 20 D, but who knows what playing Detroit and Green Bay will do to our rankings.

They double team him before Cam Jordan. He's the reason why everyone else gets free.

I thought his numbers looked odd, so I made it a point to watch him against the Dolphins. He gets double teamed against the run & pass.

He had the 5th highest PFF score this week without recording a single tackle or sack. Not sure about the 1st 3 weeks, but he got legit pressure in week 4.

Key to having a good season.

Need to improve that big time if we want to have a good season.

I would love to see these results in a graph by week.

It would look drunk.

Sad thing is we did vastly improve it this week with the Dolphins being 1/8 on third downs, and it's still that high.

That's how bad we were those first two weeks.

That's what I was hoping for. Middle D-Line often gets overlooked when they don't put up stats but they are still doing their job well.

These matter the most. Much better on third down the last 2 games. Same with turnovers. We'd probably be first in fumbles had we gotten all the ones we've forced. Idk how we haven't fell on more of these. Especially one against Cam last week and the Cutler one yesterday

A lot of that has to do with playing zone/blowing coverages/Harris on the field during the first 2 weeks. The stats from the last two weeks have been much better.

Probably top 10 at the very least over the last 2 weeks.

So when the Saints played a team with an offensive pulse, they were ravaged, but when they played a team with ridiculous injuries to their offense and/or a shitty team in Miami, they look like world-beaters.

I still remember the 2012 "Worst Defense Ever" shutting out the Buccaneers team near the end of the season.

Forgive me if I don't buy into this shitty defense magically being great all of a sudden.

How many years have we been asking for a middle of the pack D? I think that is what we have here. It's also the youngest starting D in the NFL. They should continue to improve as the year goes along. There is a lot to like.
