Winston and Newton are both clowns. Maybe talented clowns but would not be worth the headache.

Last poster that said It’s because of shite Winston did 6 to 7 years ago is bs. Hell he tried to fight Lattimore from the sidelines a few years ago. And would you want Newton representing the saints even as a backup??
Come on folks none of you can be serious

Honestly wouldn't hate convincing Josh McCown to come down for one year.

I think we bring in Shea Patterson UDFA.

He has the tools, just inconsistencies

Jameis is a mental midget

Jameis scored a 27 on the Wonderlic. Peyton Manning and Drew Brees both scored 28. I wouldn’t call him a mental midget. I think that he has maturity issues. He also made questionable decisions with the ball. A year under Brees and Payton may do wonders for him.

Payton Manning put his bare arse onto the face of a female trainer

And Sean Payton mocked a player and a fan base on the sidelines during games. I doubt they'd care too much about that.

Taysom still hasn't signed his tender.

Part of any money they free up will likely be spent tying him up for longer than one year. Maybe not Teddy B money, but multi-year extension for sure.

Honestly i think they will just play out the year with Hill. He'll sign it because he has to if he wants to play.

Why extend him for possible QB type money if you dont know what you have?

Unless we start running a spread option or throwing 50/50 balls to a freak of nature WR do not want.

Please God tell me you are not trying to compare him to brees or Payton. He could have a 100 years under Bress, manning, Brady, Jesus H and he’d still get in his own way. The kid is immature and doesn’t have the sense to overcome it. He’s a head case at best and I don’t want him anywhere near the Saints unless he’s throwing picks to our D.

What planet am I own where a Saints board is arguing for a QB Tampa cut to come join the Saints and Cam headdress Newton to boot. The same fools that are arguing this would be the first in line to throw him under the bus after he threw the first int.

It's backup QB man, not that serious. He's clearly not comparing him to Brees, it's a simple statement of facts.

Anthony Gordon out of Washington St has an incredible release and has done well. Maybe worth bringing in UDFA

Good thing we didn’t take our backup QB to “serious” last year.
