Embarrassing as hell and makes the whole season worthless.

Also tells you how stupid playoffs are in general. Saints are 2-1 vs the Bucs this year. Meaningless.

I will be downvoted to oblivion here and the NFL loves the WC money, but there should be 4 division winning playoff teams and no one else. Tough shite if you’re 11-5 and get swept by the division winner. You don’t have a chance to go 1-2 and advance further.

Tell me how I’m wrong here?

Saints proved they were better than the Bucs over 16 games. Saints had to beat the Bucs 3 times to reach the NFCCG. Bucs had to beat the Saints once.

Saints shouldn’t have pissed away the 1 seed as usual. Would have beaten the Rams

You must not have been around when making the post season was a wish.

I remember crap teams in the late 80s, 90s, and the end of the Haslett era.

It’s great making the postseason, you just shouldn’t be able to do it without a division championship.

I agree but my thing is a division winner that's 7-9 getting in over a runner up thats 10-6 or better. It's not perfect and I fully agree that we shouldn't be playing the Bucs at all.

Remove the bye week except for the SB. Every playoff team plays every week. Until the week before the Super Bowl.

Won 1 Super Bowl during this great QB run on an onside kick fluke recovery.

Saints have been mostly terrible in the post-season apart from that (now it seems like) a fluke SB win.

And it took Brett Favre making the biggest boneheaded decision of his long career to even get the Saints into the SB.

Saints have never played well in the playoffs and unless Brady went full retard and threw picks at the end, it was par for the course.

Payton seems to always need to surprise the other team or hope for them to make mistakes to win the game in the post-season.

I didn't think we had what it took to make it past Green Bay. But we close to tripled the bucs score over the two games combined during the season.

I did. I figured Brees would go out like Manning. He was in much better shape and we had as good of a team, playing at home.

I'll bet against the saints the next time they make the post season. If we get a decent QB it might not be long.

Nah if your 11-5 you most definitely should get in over the nfc east winner lol just venting I get it

Brees is a shell of himself. He wasnt gonna win the nfc vs the pack and he cant throw 20 yds

Jamies and a trick play was needed for that?

Brees can throw downfield; I feel like bringing in Jameis after the sneak was to make them think Brees was hurt and it was just going to be a wildcat run.

Makes me wonder, we used him once to go over the top and it worked. Why the frick did we keep trotting a soap horse out there when we could have tried to use jameis again? If Taysom was healthy he would have had at least 4 snaps.

We weren't trying to win the game. From Payton to Brees to the defense, they decided GB was too cold.

Payton-Brees Era of the Saints will forever be compared to the Jim Kelley Buffalo Bills Era, except that the Saints failed more on the Playoffs, with one exception - The Bounty Season of 2009.

Payton-Brees Era of the Saints will forever be remembered as Chokers on the Biggest Stage. Great during regular season, but, as soon as the bright light of the big stage shine - they choke, fail, shite the bed and embarrass themselves Every. Single. Time. in pathetically bad, comical and laughing-stock fashion.

The Truth hurts sometimes, but, It Is What It Is.

The Saints org and FO need an overhaul - something's not right with this franchise. To dependably fail time after time like this is an indication of an organizational failure and problem. Terry Fontenot needs to go to Atlanta. Let him go pick chokers and losers for them, not the Saints.

Go Pack Go.

Much worse in many ways because the Bills were AFC Champs FOUR times. The Saints got it done in only one season: The Bounty Season of 2009, which is tainted because it was the Bounty Season.

The Saints have always been cursed, choked, fallen flat on their faces.

Credit goes to Payton and Brees for us to manage doing that deep into the playoffs.

I remember 2003 when the Saints pulled off a miracle end of game lateral play only for Carney to miss an XP that eliminated us from getting to the playoffs.

Brady and the Patriots don't have any problems with "tainted championships"

frick it a ring is a ring.
