Saints are going to do joint practices with all 3 preseason opponents

Less practice less preseason games have made early games not very well played. Glad to see others will follow.

Anyone know the dates on these practices?

I think it has more to do with being able to get more work for your first-string guys in a controlled environment (practice) rather than sitting them in a preseason game in which the coaches can't control the proceedings. In a joint practice the coaches can set the parameters (contact vs. no-contract, length of time, etc) and control the situations they want to work on as opposed to a game where they can't script out the game with the other team.

I bet if you took a poll of HCs they would say they value the joint practices FAR more than preseason games
