Watson and Arians may not mix well.

It would be quite humorous to me if we get Watson after Sean retired. We could legit win a super bowl next year

I wish we still had Payton to convince Watson to come here. A new defensive minded coach is not that convincing to a QB.

Rhule hasn’t been all that impressive either

Rhule is lucky to still have his job. He’s completely on the hot seat this season. Saints have much more stability even with Payton stepping down.

Tampa gonna have to give up a shite ton since their picks are so low as well as replace or resign a several guys getting ready to leave.

SI article from 12/20

quote:

Tampa Bay Buccaneers' head coach Bruce Arians met with the media on Tuesday to discuss the Houston Texans. When asked about quarterback Deshaun Watson, Arians made it clear that if the Texans did not draft him with the #12 overall selection, the Arizona Cardinals were.

Arians was the head coach of the Cardinals for five seasons before moving on after the 2017 season.

"He would have been drafted in the next pick," Arians said, laughing.

quote:

"I like Bruce," Watson said of the Buccaneers head coach. "That's my guy. I've known Bruce. He used to come around, especially when Dabo (Swinney), when we had a couple of games in Arizona when he was still the coach there — just being able to – recruiting trip of the pre-draft trip."

Watson continued, "He's always been a fan of mine, I've always been a fan of his, and we communicated, and that's pretty dope from a legendary coach like him. It gives me a lot of confidence and a lot of momentum and motivation to keep striving to be great."

There isn’t much buzz in regards to Tampa making an offer which probably means they will get him lol

lmao DJ Moore is very talented and younger than Mike the prospect of playing with him is probably more alluring. Though the coaching situation is not in Carolina. DJ Moore has never had a good QB much like Terry Mclaurin.

So then, DJ Moore = Mike Thomas??? And Terry McLaurin as well???

I'll hang up and listen.

Yeah, even next year outside consideration, Watson would be our franchise QB for the next 10+ years… you gotta make that happen if you can.

They have the 3rd highest odds to land Watson at +400. Saints are 5th at +800

Not saying it can't happen but saying there are definitely reasons you could talk him out of it

There is always one in a thread, always.

Feels like we never come out on top in these situations. Would be nice though.

Sell him on the large media vs small media angle. (imagine his press in a large market)

Show him your one million dollar no charge PR plan portfolio.

Offer him long term.

Show him our very kind fan base.(looking at you Philly/NY etc )
