And why in the hell would we want Campbell?

trade talks could've been in the works, but time was running out. Saints pick the guy that Wash wants, also a guy that the Saints could use, and then continue the talks throughout the day and night. It could also be that Wash contacts Saints after they pick Rob, tell NO that they are interested, and begin chatter from there.

This was my initial thought. Kind of like trades in the NBA draft.

I'm 100% okay with Landry, but our coverage will be serverly lacking with Harper and Landry back there, assuming Sharper is gone. So, in other words...I'm not 100% good with Landry.

I'm ok with Landry taking over for R. Harper and U. Young/M. Jenkins playing FS. Landry and Harper in the same secondary equals a lot of over the top passing.

Maybe we are looking at going to a 4-2-5 defense:

W. Smith - S. Ellis-A. Haynesworth- A. Brown
S. Shanle - J. Vilma
J. Greer - L. Landry - M. Jenkins - R. Harper - T. Porter

I know he would be a good back-up, but in a trade like this, I would rather get guys in return who will contribute from day 1, like McIntosh, like Landry

Wait until you see how McNabb fares this season with that shitty offense. It's going to resemble Cutlerfricker in Chicago last season.
You mean with Shanahan as coach and a backfield that includes Clinton Portis, Larry Johnson and Willie Parker? And a young, talented wide receiving corps?

I think the Redksins are going to surprise some people this year.

As the coach of the Philadelphia Flyers once said, it's hard for them to score if you keep knocking them on their asses.

They got Williams to protect McNabb's blind side, but the rest of their line is not exactly distinguished.

that 4-2-5 would look a lot better with haynesworth in the middle otherwise i think we'd struggle against the run again

dude's as smart as a shoe box,

Who's played in something like 3 different offensive schemes for as many coordinators in his 4 years in Washington. You can raise that number to 7 coordinators in 8 years if you count his time at Auburn.

There are MANY starting QBs that couldn't come close to handling that as well as Campbell.

Wrong. It's actually 8,325

Don't see Campbell as a back-up (damn good one) but as future trade bait.

Man that was my starting backfield and flex spot when I won my fantasy football league.........in 2006.

All kidding aside, it would be next to impossible for washington not to be improved next year. The cowboys will take that division though, IMO.....maybe philly. I think the giants are trending in the wrong direction.

I see the east being like so:

DAL
PHI
WAS
NYG
