This would be the Saints starting lineup for the Saints All Time Greatest Team. Starting 11 for each side of the ball.

QB- Drew Brees
RB- Deuce McAllister
FB- Mike Karney
WR1- Marques Colston
WR2- Joe Horn

TE- Jimmy Graham
LT- Willie Roaf
LG- Jahri Evans
C- Jerry Fontenot
RG- Chris Naeole
RT- Stan Brock

RE- Will Smith
LE- Wayne Martin
DT- La'Roi Glover

LOLB- Rickey Jackson
LILB- Sam Mills
ROLB- Pat Swilling
RILB- Vaughan Johnson
CB- Dave Whitsell
CB- Jabari Greer
FS- Dave Waymer
SS- Sammy Knight

K- Morten Andersen
P- Thomas Morestead

KR- Michael Lewis
PR- Darren Sproles

What do you guys think? Which selections, if any, do you disagree with?

It's hard to imagine a team with these 5 on it. They would have won 3 superbowls at least with drew, if you send him back to 87

Without a doubt! Give Drew a defense like the Dome Patrol, and he would have more rings than Tom Brady.

Naeole was average here. Got better when he went to Jacksonville. Nicks was definitely better.

Pretty sure Glover was a 3-tech in a 4-3 D. Don't think he'd do well in a 3-4 at DT. I'll admit the point of your thread probably isn't pretending to put these players up against other teams best players though, rather than just saying who was best at their positions.

ETA: So sorry for being to literal with it

If he stays in New Orleans he might be a HoF guard or at least in the conversation. Likely gets more all-pro selections and pro bowls.

I don't remember much of Fontenot for some reason but think Turley was a better RT

**Edit** My bad, I'll take Stan Brock over Turley at RT.

Bitter sweet..
They were amazing.. and our offense wasn't too shabby..
But it was during the 49er greatness.. and they were in our division at the time..
Sooo... we could only get so far..
That was a great era of football in general..

They complimented each other.
Vaughn Johnson was a devastating tackler.
Pat Swilling was a tremendous pass rusher.
Sam Mills was a brilliant defensive signal caller
Rickey Jackson was an absolute terror, fearless.
Roger Craig dreaded facing them twice a year.

I'd easily take Hoby Brenner over Jimmy Graham at TE
Hoby was a complete TE...sure handed, never took a play off and a superior blocker

You're not worth getting in a pissing match over an opinion. I take it you never saw Hoby's seasons?
