This is going to be our most talented defense since the Dome Patrol. If the offense can be at least consistent we're gonna light some people up. (who'd have thought we'd EVER say that with Brees and Payton??)

Haralson is good.
Decent against the run and in coverage.
But not much of a pass rusher.
We really are hoping that Butler will light it up next season.

i think a lot of people will be surprised by Butler and realize how good we sit on defense right now.

Epic.
Finally we have a ball hawk safety that can frick shite up against QB's and WR's.
We needed this badly.

A lot of people are forgetting Butler. But true, I'm really excited to see what he can do under Ryan and this defense.

Haralson is good.
Would love to get them back cheap.
And BnG, hell yeah I'm expecting big things from him. Just saying based on the knowns, we could be doing much better.

i dont follow. i think weve done a great job thus far. the only concern i have is o-line, which i dont want to think about right now. any word on that C from cleveland? or goodwin coming back as a serviceable stop ap

HOLY shite WTF
I followed free agency ALL DAY like by the minute and finally like an hour and a half ago I settled, watched a movie and relaxed and didn't even look at my phone or computer. I finish my movie, check my phone and I have about a billion texts about this!!
I thought I was getting punked. No shite. And when I realized, I started Fapping immediately.

My only concern is Oline as well. We need to get a center and RT ASAP. Unless we plan on starting a rookie in one of them.
We can draft offensive weapons and defensive depth but we need a starting center and right tackle

While the LB is not going to set the world on fire, I think calling them really weak is a bit of a stretch. Lofton has an incomplete game, but he is a good starter calibre player overall. Butler just has to be ok. Hawthorne is an ok minus. We'll see about getting some cheap role players, and I think it's at least an average unit.

The guys we've seen here in action at LB. We only have Lofton, Hawthorne, and Reddick that played here last year and none of them exactly lit it up. I'm hopeful for Reddick and happy with Lofton but we could definitely be doing better.
Now we add Butler back in and I'm very hopeful he can be as great as we expect.
Peazey, I said not counting Butler. I'm just talking about who we still have that played last year. Lofton I like but we could do better.

For the first time in a long time. Defense is not a concern anymore. If Rob can make the talent we had last year into a top 5 unit he can do it again. Especially with Byrd there and a rookie Corner on his way.
We need weapons and Lineman and depth

Yeah this could turn into a heavier offensive draft than we've seen in the past.
Posted on 3/11/14 at 10:12 pm to MrJimBeam
Hell, we get Victor Butler back too.

Fortunately, good centers can be drafted on day 2, and RTs are one of the cheapest paid positions in football (probably behind just FB).

That seals it. We going o line first pick, wr second, lb third.

And I'm expecting a rookie to start at C unless we sign a cheap one year stop gap.

Sure, we could be better there, but with the apparent strength at the 2 other levels, I'm not that concerned about it is all I'm saying. We could be average or even below average there and still be kicking arse as a unit. I'm probably not contradicting you at all. I'm just excited as hell right now.
Can't wait to see our new toy in action.
