Typical Payton play calling, let's go for the home run with over a minute left. Have they never heard of 10 yard passes? Seriously, how many times have we seen the Saints either do a screen or some behind the line pass or go for a bomb? Why is it so fricking hard to call a slant or a hook or anything that could've netted 10 yards??

I give Luke some credit - he did a great job today considering how many dropped passes in the 4th qtr our receivers gave away. Terrible peformance by the WR's.
Defense was meh, which is usual.
0-3. I knew this was going to be a long season, but shite. No Romo and Dez next week will help. Not exactly sure what can be salvaged from the season with everyone healthy because this is quite simply not a good football team.

Luke was fantastic all things considered.

It is stupid having Ingram in on the hail Mary when you need home run threats. Would've had had a better chance with Spiller or Murphy

Tough game but had a chance to win. McCown played good but the panthers D stepped up when they had to. Colston has really struggled and it sucks to see him going out like this.
I'm holding out hope that the best coach in Saints history can right the ship. Hopefully this is a rebuild and not a loss of direction.

Time for Allen to be the DC. First move, bench Browner.
Time for Payton to earn his paycheck and fire Ryan, bench Colston at least for a game, and to go back to the fricking drawing board and design new plays. They signed Spiller for a lot of $ so he needs to be way more involved.
With that said, McCown played pretty damn well but 3 things let him down to lose:
1. Pathetic D that let a one man receiving crew dominate the Sants. A fricking older, slow TE. How fricking sad. Imagine what team full of receivers would have done today.
2. Dropped passes. It's inexcusable for people making millions of dollars to catch a ball.
3. Some bad play calling by Payton. There was nice calls like the Khiry TD, but there was a good bit of bad.
That game was completely winnable and should have been won.
