Hello Who Dats & Who Datettes and welcome to the Saints week 2/game 2 thread.

Primetime in front of a national audience to show off our new veteran quarterback while the Panthers will show off what they're like in a rebuild with a new rookie #1 overall pick QB... both in their 2nd game with their new teams.

Obviously things went a lot better for Derek Carr in his 1st game in New Orleans, with a win over the Titans, than it did for Bryce Young in his Carolina debut as he took a loss to division-foe the Atlanta Falcons.

The Saints will look to get in a much better offensive rhythm tonight, esp. on the ground where the team will be without Alvin Kamara for the 2nd of a 3-game suspension due to the Las Vegas incident.

Meanwhile, Carolina will be looking for someone to step up and slow the Saints receiving trio of Michael Thomas, Chris Olave, & Rashid Shaheed since they'll be down 1 of their best DBs in Jaycee Horn, the son of former Saints WR Joe Horn, who went on IR this week with a hamstring injury.

There may be no such thing as a "must-win" game in week 2... but for Carolina... going down 0-2 in the division after just 2 weeks makes for a tough mountain to climb and it's the Saints job to put that mountain in their path.

LET'S CLAW THE PANTHERS AND MOVE TO 2-0 IN FRONT OF A NATIONWIDE AUDIENCE!!!!

Injury Report:
NO- (DE Payton Turner will not be listed here as he was put on IR earlier this week)
JT Gray - Shoulder - QUESTIONABLE
Kendre Miller - Hamstring - QUESTIONABLE

CAR-
DJ Chark - Hamstring - QUESTIONABLE

Weather: It should be a beautiful night for football in Charlotte with temps in the mid to upper 70s at kickoff and falling and no chance of rain with winds out of the NNW at 5-10 mph or less

Uniforms: Back in all-black for week 2 on the road

Current Standings:
NFC South:
Falcons 2-0
Buccaneers 2-0
Saints 1-0
Panthers 0-1

Betting Lines: Saints (-3), O/U 39.5

Will be a long day at work waiting for this game. I saw a stat that says the Saints average only 11 points a game for a specific time period. We need to score a ton and break their freaking spirit.

For some weird reason we seem to play like shite in Carolina, especially on Offense.

Hopefully they have a gameplan to help Penning. We protect Carr, we win.

16 of his completions went to the TE and RB out of the backfield. Let's kill those!

hoping the MNF primetime game time has an effect

1pm sunday day games are boring AF in Charlotte, I can see it being tough to play inspired at times.

A note for everyone in the New Orleans media market... the game will be simulcast on WDSU

For those who don't have cable or ESPN access somehow
