Gayle is rich enough, she needs to negotiate with the state where she gets all of the land that the Superdome and Areana are on, tears it down and builds a downtown entertainment complex with two new areans. frick it, go big or go home.

Remember when I said the team would be in a trust and everyone told me I didn’t know wtf I was talking about?

Well…

This is basically the trust.

The way Gayle Benson helped Tom Benson change the Benson ownership legacy from the lowest point during Hurricane Katrina to where they stand now with the City of New Orleans is really incredible.

She (maybe of her own making, maybe she has help, I don't know) has been pretty much a war hero for the Saints and Pelicans. The Saints are now one of or possibly the best run NFL organization and the Pelicans...I mean, they are fledgling at best. But they have an opportunity with Zion to become relevant. The key is building around him, but who knows how possible that is with the way the NBA colludes to bring the best players to the biggest markets.

Anyway, I'll raise a glass to Mrs. Benson this weekend in the Dome. She's had a big part in making the Saints a model franchise. Great feeling, ain't it?

Once again demonstrating how the Saints are sold as en economic driver for LA when they are getting millions in tax breaks and incentives but all the money goes to NO. Ridiculous!

The pelicans are well they are the pelicans. They have been ran pretty poorly for a while now. The saints are one of the best in the NFL. This isn’t necessarily their fault though. The NBA is much more about the market than the nfl is. It’s harder to retain stars in smaller markets. The NBA pretty much allows tampering if it’s a small market team being tampered with. I quit watching the nba after they allowed lebron to basically tamper unchecked behind rich Paul. The nba showed they could care less about small market teams.
