It was a total screw job. They completely missed the call. However, the refs clearly had a mandate to let the teams play and not ruin this game with penalties which they did for the most part. I think they were looking to not throw a flag and got caught off guard with maybe the worst pass interference of the season and none of them wanted to be the guy who threw the flag that decided the NFC Championship which is BS. I’ve had season tickets my whole life and go to at least 1 road game per season. Outside of this horrendous call this was a phenomenal year to be a Saints fan. Like most I am devastated by the loss, but come mid July I will be ready for Saints football again. I will likely not watch the Super Bowl, but come next year I will be back into it. I’ve sat through enough bad years and bad games to be able to put this horrendous loss into perspective and appreciate what was for 98% of the year a hell of a season. Also, heads need to roll at the officiating office and if I was Payton the league would be fining me weekly until Mini Camps.

I remember when brees broke the passing record he told his kids something like ",work hard & you can accomplish anything".
Now what does he tell his kids?
"Work hard but you can't accomplish what's stolen from you"...
The nfl is more corrupt than Louisiana politics...and that says it all.

Same. I'm done with the NFL after last night's game. I know that other calls that were missed as well, but to be so blatantly obvious with that particular no call is beyond my comprehension. I'm now more convinced than ever that the league will always have some type of influence on the outcome of certain games. There is too much money passing hands and I will always believe that some sort of corruption is accompanying it.

3 downvotes? Bandwagon Patriot fans that enjoy how the cheating benefits “their” team.
The SEC cheating has caused me to lose interest in the college season and the politicization and cheating in the NFL has accomplished the same on the pro level.

Since the bounty gate and the suspension of CP and the fines that were dealt, I've been weening myself from the NFL. College football too. I always thought growing up that pro sports, what ever sport, has some type of undermining to control the outcome of the contest. But I always took the high side and discounted the bad calls on what they could be, bad calls. But after seeing that, and the holding no calls against Alabama on Hurts run to the endzone a few years ago in which I was at the game, has really sent me into the dark side as far as watching any sport were officiating could determine the outcome. Hell the interference call against the Stros in the Boston series was a call. It happens, and come to find out I was right for the 50 some odd years I have been watching pro sports.

My grandpa used to always tell me major sports were "fixed". Being a young fan, I refused to believe as such. Over there years I've seen my share of wtf moments that have gradually eroded my belief in fair outcomes. Yesterday's call broke the barrier for me. I will never view major sports the same again.

Consider yourself healed of an affliction and hunt more.

It was an obvious screw job on the saints, two refs 5-10 yards from the play both looking at it, and both signal incomplete pass!
Honestly what’s the point of supporting this league? Endure a long season for this outcome down the road??
I’m sure I’m just still angry, but this will be forever in the back of my mind while watching a game, and my passion for this sport has died today. I’ll probably still watch and support my saints, but it just won’t be the same, I probably won’t drop everything to attend or watch a saints game anymore.
Sad day
Pretty much nailed it for me as well. I mean they can tell us that not one but two of "the best referees in football" missed the call but that really is just hard to believe. It was way to obvious of a call to just miss so the only other conclusion that can be rendered is the NFL wanted the two larger markets in the SuperBowl and were going to give these two teams the benefit of the calls.
Problem with the NFL plan was the refs did what was asked of them on a play that was way to obvious thus exposing the NFL for what they are.

same here. I've always been the guy that defends the ref's (I guess because I umpired baseball for while and our guys did their best to be correct). BUT, there is NO EXCUSE for the NFL to allow that call to stand. there needs to be reform. the only play I've ever seen that approaches the shite show in that game was when one college team (forget which one) actually won a game on fifth down.

I haven’t given a shite about 90 percent of the NFL in a decade.
You don’t miss it.
You don’t miss it.

It was a bad call. But still had chances to win and it never should of come to that play. So many missed opportunities

Bad call? No it was a screw job. Bad call was the first PI that wasn't called this play was to obvious to be a bad call.
Plus, So what if the Saints had other chances to win the fricking game you can say that about every game ever played.
