Per Bleacher Report

quote:

Dennison is a 3x Super Bowl winning coach with the #Broncos, who was last with Minnesota from 2019-2021. He’s highly respected for his ability to develop offensive linemen as well.

The Saints are expected to add Rick Dennison to coach Dennis Allen's staff, a source said. Title is still being worked out, but Dennison last served as Vikings offensive line coach and run game coordinator.

Dennison hasn’t coached in the NFL since 2021 — the year he opted out of taking the COVID-19 vaccine and was then moved to being a senior offensive assistant for the Vikings. But Dennison has almost 30 years of coaching experience, spending most of his career under former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan. Dennison has been an offensive coordinator four times in his career, two stints of which were under Gary Kubiak — Klint Kubiak’s dad.

Dennison and Klint Kubiak also worked together in Minnesota, first when Kubiak was the team’s quarterbacks coach and later when he was promoted to offensive coordinator in 2021. As an assistant, Dennison helped the Broncos win three Super Bowls — two under Shanahan and one under Gary Kubiak. Before going into coaching, Dennison, a former linebacker, also played nine seasons for the Broncos.

That's a nice hire.

Have we hired an OL coach yet? I've seen RBs and WRs I think so far

New Orleans already has been working to put together Kubiak’s staff, which is expected to include QBs coach Andrew Janocko and OL coach John Benton.

I think a lot of people's nightmares are about to come true.

The Saints were serious about fixing the offense and they will actually turn it around and start playing like we hoped they would.

Winning..... Oh the horraahhhh........We're stuck with DA and Carr................

Well it looks like the Saints are going to a zone blocking
scheme on the OL.Hopefully they have the players to do that.
The off season free agency signing period will be very
important for the OL.

Saints already hired John benton as the o line coach, right? He was with Shanahan in San Fran from 2017-2021. Then he went to the jets with Lafleur as o line/rgc

I think Dennison will be a senior offensive assistant. They hired him as rgc.

I think that scheme will be good for Derek carr.

A lot of play action off the running game. Everything looks the same.

The line has to move laterally and the running back can go outside or cut it back. Kamara would actually fit well with that type of scheme, as would miller.

I'm excited for miller. I think he has great burst and speed. If he stays healthy, that pick looks good imo
