Why is he a shithead if he could care less about Bush?

Look Bush was a good player for the Saints, and because he was a Saint, we pulled for him.

If he would have played with a chp on his shoulder while here, it would have been nice. Reggie Bush received every chance in teh world to be "the guy" on every down for the Saints. He could not get it done. So he left a "team" that wins and went ot a bust of an organization where everyone, including him, is playing for the check.
He could easily have still been here, be puttin up great 3rd down and return #'s, and play for a team that is a true contender. He HAND PICKED Miami from the beggining, and that tells me all I need to know about his motives.

let's get something straight

the #2 pick in a draft is supposed to be the next barry sanders, the next legend at a position

no matter what he does in miami for a crappy team, the saints found a better reggie bush than reggie bush

Sproles fits better into the NOLA scheme. What Bush has accomplished this year, is nothing new. he hasn't changed his game, he has just changed his surroundings.

A back can't be barry sanders if he is splitting carries with 2-3 other backs. Not to mention people act as if he had no impact. He was getting an asenine amount of receptions for a running back and was dangerous in the return game. He forced defenses to set aside hours if not days to account for his potential big play ability.

This isn't about comparing him to sproles. This is about realizing Bush isn't a bust like most of you fickle fans make him out to be. His full potential couldn't be utilized here. Hell, Adrian Peterson or Chris Johnson wouldn't be the same if they played here. It's a shared workload in our backfield.

as a poster with good enough perspective of what goes at ST I would say very few here labeled him a bust. In fact, I'd say almost none or maybe none at all of anyone considered a regular poster. As far as the occasional dipshit or the posters you might find on nola.com maybe so.

My group summarization would be: not up to 2nd overall expectations but a key contributor in the turnaround of the franchise, a vital component in getting a Lombardi, thanks for what ya did, and good luck in your next stop.

Agreed- especially the Cardinal's playoff game, and his first Punt Return against the Bucs was spectacular, I was there it was awesome. I have a framed picture and a plaque on the wall of him. I have been a die hard defender both in real life and on message boards that he was not and is not a bust

Reggie left the saints and went to the same place our last always injured running back went to(he shall not be named) and is now playing better, so to Reggie i say

He's just a shithead in general.

ETA: The fact that he chose Breesus as his screen name should be the first clue.

Yes, eventually, but you have to let things run their natural course.

I'm happy for him too, but this is really not the right board for this anymore. This is a poorly disguised "I told you so" thread.

When considering the rotation of running backs the Saints use, and considering the amount of money Bush made in his time with the Saints, it is pretty obvious to see that Reggie was doomed to not live up to his expectations from the start.

Not particularly his fault. He just wasn't a good fit, simple as that.

I still like the guy and wish him the best.

from reaching his potential, he may blow up for a few years in a different uniform, what say you?

But, here's how I define somebody who is a disappointment considering all of the hype that he got . . . in my world, that's a BUST

That's a pretty shitty definition of a bust. He was a damn good punt return man. Caught more passes than any other RB while playing for the saints, split carries, and did an awesome job in the community of New Orleans.

I'm not saying he lived up to potential, but he was far from a "bust".
