Did he hurt himself in the offseason after Brees retired?

No he did not. He was hurt in Brees last season, so explain why he didnt have surgery day 1 of the offseason...

Instead he waited for training camp months later so he didnt have to play, which pissed off Payton if you remember...

Thats a fact.

Yall are so blind with racial loyalty it is affecting your critical thinking.

Nah he’ll probably have another “setback” and collect $20mm

this ^^^^^^

he will look good preseason and play the first 3-4 games before a turf toe injury or pulled his vagina and will miss the rest of the season as he valiantly struggles to return so he can help the team

Yes he was hurt in Brees last season. He tried to play through the injury but made it worse. Yes he was supposed to have surgery right after the season but tried to rehab on his own to avoid going under the knife and tried to hide what he was doing but the rehab was not working. Yes Payton was pissed.
Now all that shite is over. Payton said they were past all that. Thomas said weeks ago he was looking forward to coming back. Apparently Allen, the team and Thomas are all in contact, hopefully on the same page and any other unverified drama is nothing but useless bullshite from people with hurt feelings.

I am not too worried about MT playing. I believe there were a lot of things playing into his decisions that kept him off the field in 2021. His injury was real and his delay in the surgery route is understandable if you look at this from what every day people do. The rush to surgery would have been for football and not so much for what is best for MT. Add into that, that there were most likely doubts about what the offense was going to look like for 2021 after brees and not a good supporting cast of receivers. Why rush back and possibly risk reaggravating the injury or develop other injuries due to compensating for the primary injury?

He had the money and the leverage over the saints to make a best for MT decision and that is not his fault. Lesson learned about having to always restructure contracts for cap space.

Quit on his team? The man played an entire season injured to try to get a ring for Brees.

And then promptly quit on the team....

Why are you even on this board if you have no idea about very common-knowledge shite like what MT did last offseason...

The Michael Thomas era can't end soon enough. Like being in cap prison with that dude. Will be a glorious day when he is gone.
Have you seen the wideouts on this team in 2021? Mike Thomas is under contract, he's young, he's fricking incredible at his job, and it appears as though he wants to be back with the Saints...so why in the world would you not roll with the hot chick that brought you here? I don't see anyone else out there that the Saints can acquire at WR that's not going to cost them a mint and who is better than Mike Thomas.

All aboard the @cantguardmike pain train.

None of that is true. LMAO CLEARLY?!?! How could that possibly be "clear" unless you have a relationship with MT? Where do you get your information from? No one with any connection to MT or the team has shared your feelings on the matter. You people are weird drawing assumptions from tweets months ago and thinking nothing has changed from the moment a cryptic tweet was sent out of emotion. Get off of social media if you don't understand that.

I'm excited about getting back one of the best WR in the league after a season of practice squad WRs.

I dont worship athletes my boy. That’s where you’ve gone wrong and why I’m happy I not you. Michael Thomas doesn’t hate my guts, I don’t know him.
