Thought Loomis was so good

That they paid him to be the the GM of the Saints and the Pels

Any other NFL GM was also the GM of another professional team?

A huge majority of Saints fans became soooo gullible after the SuperBowl win

I’ve been trashed on this board for stating the obvious for years

It's Loomis job to put talent on the field. He has done that every year since he's been GM. Now, the Allen hire was probably not a good one. If you're going to critique him solely on hiring Allen, you are selectively leaving out his ability to put talent on the field.

They wasted Brees prime years with horrible drafts and fa signings on the defensive side. The one year we had a competent defense we won a Super Bowl. Not talking about Brees late years once Ireland came aboard.

And you really think Loomis is responsible for putting good talent on the field?

Please explain making him the Pels GM?

It’s not just Loomis (great guy btw)

The Saints organization structure has been terrible

A GM, HC, and QB that could never be fired.

Tell me another franchise in NFL history that was structured that way

Drew Brees made a lot of guys look more talented than they are. Spending wildly with a credit card does not equal competence.

They’ve had one of the most talented rosters in the NFL since like 2016. A hall of fame quarterback retired and they had trouble replacing him. Not all that shocking.

None, but it starts with the owner who listens to her subordinates this is the way.

She listened and we’ll suck for a long while.

That has nothing to do with what I said.
Also, plenty of people were fired during those seasons.

Do you think it’s the same coaching staff since then?

Mickey Loomis is the executive vice president and general manager of the National Football League's New Orleans Saints.

From 2012-2019, he was also head of basketball operations for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association.

The Allen and Carmichael hires to their current roles was lazy as hell in terms of doing his job to find the best candidates.
