Eat a dick. I wouldnt kneel for any cause there is a way of showing solidarity other than disrespecting the US flag and what it means to the world.

Can’t wait for TulaneLSU’s “Top 10 List of Saddest Lots”

It will be a awkward locker room

Its always interesting to me that a certain portion of the country considers it as disrespect while others can consider it just a protest. Kneeling isnt usually considered a disrespectful thing. Now if he turned his back to the flag i could see it. Its all a perspective thing

OP is spot on whether people want to like it or not.

I’m confident his teammates will be able to talk some sense into him. He’s a good dude. He’s not a racist. He empathizes with people, and he’ll be fine.

Michael Thomas is 27 and Malcolm Jenkins is 32. They went public with their feelings and made this a national issue.
They easily could have gotten in contact with Drew Brees or gotten him a message without making this public.
That would've done nothing to keep it from being a national story. Drew's a top 3 most famous player in the league. He ain't flying under the radar if it's just his statement.

I’m sorry what? The leader of this team must bow down to the BLM movement and can’t have his own independent thoughts and feelings?
frick everyone of you that thinks Brees needs the thought police to recondition him. 1984 bullshite

I’m just surprised he made the comments being the leader of the team knowing the majority of his teammates lean a completely different way. Look how quickly Nick Bosa apologized for his Kaep comments soon after he was drafted.

Why does he need “sense” talked into him? He’s entitled to his own opinion as much as you are yours.

"As the grandson of two WW2 veterans, I personally will always stand for our flag in honor of them and all the sacrifices made for our nation. But I believe it's Colin's right as an American to make a statement any way he sees fit"
That's just off the top of my dome. How hard is it to say that? You get your honest opinion across without coming off as incredibly dense and tone deaf.
"I will never agree with someone who kneels during the national anthem". The optics of that is

The flag protects the rights of people to express discontent with their government. Also, not sure what you mean by 'what the US flag means to the world.' The other countries don't prostrate themselves at the feet of America.

Once the death threats start against he and his family (because King James has summoned the victim pack), you won’t have to worry about being disappointed.

These are adults who play a game for a living. To expect leadership from game players is expecting a lot. Those who watch adults playing sports are an even sadder lot.

This is what makes America great...its his viewpoint and he should not have too justify it too anyone...

Just the opposite. I respect him even more. Stand up for what you believe in spite of the fallout. Nothing he said had anything to do with the Floyd case. It had to do with what he perceives as disrespecting the flag and the anthem. Period.

I am impressed you managed to be inconsistent in the span of two sentences.
