Didn't watch today's game. Likely didn't keep up with anything going on during camp but has an opinion on the future being bleak if Rattler is the future.
IS Rattler the future? We won't know for a couple seasons but his talent is undeniable. He was the #1 ranked QB recruit coming out of high school. He was a heisman favorite before the 2021 season, which obviously didn't turn out in his favor and is part of the reason why we got him in the 5th round. Will he ever put it all together? Maybe, maybe not. The thing is he is as talented as any QB in the last draft and has shown in his first camp/preseason that he looks like he belongs.
So to say so definitively that the future is "bleak" if he is the future seems just a bit short sighted.

Damm all ,I am saying is look how bad things have got in NFL with all the money being given out. Don’t degrade me. It’s true , Bree’s was worth it . He was the whole offense back in the day. All I am saying is Carr us not worth $40 million a year. Jesus, some of you guys need to change your tampons . Don’t worry tampons will be available in all mens bathrooms if K Harris and sissy boy win.

Not a Saints fan, but I come in peace.
Rattler was excellent at USC. He didn't get hype, because his O-Line last year was utterly atrocious, and he had one WR who could catch (and he put *that* dude in the First round).
He will be an excellent pro QB, and he'll be very successful in NO. In a few years, guys will be scratching their heads how he went in the 5th, while JJ McCarthy went top 15.

What worries me: if Carr sucks so much that Rattler eventually has to take over, almost certainly DA gets fired and a whole new offensive staff comes in. Who's to say that staff would want to stake their jobs on Rattler as opposed to a 1st round pick or another vet?
