"It is a comfortable place for them. There are not (weather) elements. They've got the crowd behind them, which is a huge plus for them as well. They're on turf, not natural grass, which is a little different. It helps as fast as their speed and timing. The things that they do here they do very, very well. We will see how things go when they come to Carolina."
Players need to realize that at the end of the day; the weather, turf, and crowd do not decide the outcome of the game. They contribute, but do not decide. If Carolina was the better team, they would have atleast put up a close game. And this game was not.

newton comes off as an arrogant prick. Not to just fans, but even during the probowl a lot of the players shunned him because they thought he was an arrogant a-hole. that is from the PLAYERS mouths.

There are a lot of arrogant and cocky players, but his demeanor is that he's think he's best person on the team and everyone should bow to his greatness and he doesn't deserve any blame. That gets old really quick with older players who have played for years and you have to earn their respect.

Brees is a seasoned quarterback. When Brees goes 3 and out he is with his coach going over plays and scenarios. Besides Brees and his coach are much more in tune with each other than Cam and his coach. With Cam's youth, he's still learning how to chose his words. Last night he stunk it up and stuck his foot in his mouth afterwords. Like I said. Take the "L" give credit where credit is due and keep it moving. And, yes, he was wrong, the Panthers are not better than The Saints. They have a better front 4 and one LB, but overall they are not better. Cam is more athletic than Brees but he is not better. The Saints 4 receiver on the depth chart is better than the panthers 1st receiver. RB, the panthers RBs are hurt too much to really compare Deanglo is good, Stewart stays hurt and big boy Tolbert is good for short yardage. Thomas, Sproles, Robinson, Cadet and once in a blue moon Ingram, collectively are better. Jimmy Graham is better than Oleson and Ben Watson is pretty good also. We're better on Special teams, I thought I would never be able to say this but I think our secondary is better against the panthers than their secondary is against our offense. Peyton is a genius compared to Rivera. There is no argument there. With all that being said it comes down to execution. If the Panthers play their very best game and the Saints play their very best game on a neutral field,10 games, the wins will win the majority of those games.

Out of that entire block of text, this is the only thing that is slightly relevant.

After the Seattle game Brees, Sean gave all credit to the Seahawks. They mention that they could've done things better, but never said they were better. Any person with half a brain says they could have played better, they were the better team tonight. You learn from a beating and you use that beating. You don't dismiss by saying we are better even if you get your azz handed to you by an 0-13 team. The saints took the beat down from Seattle and back to prepare for a defense that is almost as good as Seattle's defense. The preparation paid off. Carolina's D came working with an assumption that their D was almost as good as Seattle's D so they should be able to stop the Saints. Wrrrrrooooonnnnnnnngggg!!!!!!! They have us again in two weeks so we will see if they learned anything.

Cam just seems a little retarded to me. I think he tries but he just doesn't have it upstairs.

You can't, because you're wrong

Did anybody point out that fig newton said three weeks ago that the panthers would beat the saints. He was, of course, quoted endlessly by his adoring fans at NFL and ESPN

Now he and they look stupid...thus the postgame rationalizing for the panthers. Later after, I'm sure, some direction from the network big guys, they fleetingly mention how good the Saints were.

Did anybody catch Sharper predicting a panther win. Heath Evans just looked at him pitifully and said one word to the lady host...Saints!

I love Newton's comments after a loss. Guy always comes across as a 16 year old punk. Pretty funny.

Every player says this/thinks this after a L when they play the same team again in a few weeks.
Meh, non story.

not really. Most just say we need to get better and credit the opposing team.

Most QB's don't create excuses to why they got destroyed.

You feel that way, but you'd expect every player to talk with grace and give credit to the opponents. Even saying something like:

"There's no excuse to how we played, they were great tonight, but I know what kind of team we are and hopefully we can show everyone that we are contenders in two weeks. It'll be a great game and hopefully we come out the game with a W"

is better than what cam did

Not always, but you don't notice it as a big deal when he does it so you don't even realize that it happens.

completely disagree.

I prefer an honest answer, not even close.
