It’s very common in this thread. People who have been vaccinated (very few) are able to step away from their personal situation and instead do back flips to justify their position.
Our hospitals are currently full but that’s a short term problem related to this spike. And hospitals have the ability to ramp up during these small windows of high hospitalization.
Most of the hospital issues are related to staffing which people just accept as ok. They accept extreme intrusion into our liberties because of an emergency but don’t consider demanding a hospital address a staffing issue during the same emergency.

My opinion is that I will be in the Dome if they give me the option. I only got the vax because of an international trip and a family member who works for an NFL team told me back in April that this would most likely be the case for home games in New Orleans.
I couldn’t give two shits about your liberties, I just want to be in the Dome on Sundays and it appears as if I will be able to do so thanks to a vaccine that literally gave me 0 side effects

What the frick are you talking about? I don’t want the Dome to have a mask or vaccine requirement but if thats what they require to attend games I will be wearing my mask and sporting my vax card. I don’t wear a mask anywhere on the northshore. It sucks, but attending Saints games is my favorite hobby so I do whatever it takes.

The CDC. They came out and acknowledged that vaccinated individuals carry just as high viral loads as unvaccinated. The theory is that, because they aren’t as sick, they continue in public and spread more.
So, it’s an example of the vaccine perhaps making things worse from a cases standpoint.
None of this is settled. But the studies are showing that the vaccine is significantly less effective protecting from infection against Delta. And many think it will be even less effective as it mutates further.
